Part Four

Veronica's POV

We got to my house and I asked Betty to stay for a little while. When I had stopped crying I felt a bit better, but I felt so much better because Betty was with me. We were laying down in my bed looking up at the roof. "How are you feeling?" She asked. "I'm better now." I told her which was half a lie. "Hey are you hungry? I'm not just wondering if you are." She asked. "No, I'm good." I said. Her phone then went off. "Who is it?" I asked. "It's my mom" I looked over her shoulder.

Mom

Where are you? You haven't come home!

I'm with Veronica. She's having a hard day.

Is she always having a bad day?

**She rolled her eyes. "Sorry Vee just to get her to stop texting me." She said.

Mom Archie was cheating on her for six months! You expect her to just not have a bad day right now?

Oh I didn't know. Do whatever you need to help your friend

She put her phone down. "Sorry about telling her. If I didn't she would've kept asking why I'm with you." I nodded. "Yea, but your helping me so much by just being here." I told her. I saw her blush. "Your blushing!" I said. She rolled her eyes. "Shut up!" She said looking away from me. I moved her head and made her look at me. She was smiling and still blushing. "Your still blushing." I said smiling at her. "Yes, I am." She said. She leaned in and kissed me. I kissed her back. She pulled away a few seconds later. "Vee I have a question." She said. "Yea?" I said. "What are we?" She asked. "I have no idea. What do you want us to be?" I asked. She shrugged. "I don't know. I just know I want more than we already are now." I smiled. "Why don't we make it that way." I said putting my hand on her face. "You just got out of a relationship like three days ago." She said. "I know. I know. I just think we should or else how many times will things like this happen?" I asked. She sighed, looked at me and smiled. "Okay then is it official?" She asked. I nodded. "Yes. It. Is." I said kissing her again. She kissed me back. I started kissing down her jaw line and then her neck. She started running her fingers through my hair. I looked at her. I took down her ponytail. "Vee." "Yes?" "Are you... are you sure?" She asked. I looked at her and bit my lower lip. "Are YOU sure?" I asked. She nodded. "I think I am." "Then so am I." I told her. She smiled then kissed me again. I smiled through the kiss. Then there was a bang at the door. I pulled away. "What the hell was that?" She asked. "I don't know, but I'm pretty sure whoever's at that door is mad." I told her. "You think!" She said. I got up and starting walking downstairs with her right behind me. "Who is it?" I asked walking over to the door. They didn't say anything they just pounded on the door again. "Hello?" I said opening the door. I grabbed Betty's arm when I saw who was at the door. "Daddy?" I asked confused. "Veronica your home. We need to talk." He said walking by me and Betty. "I thought he was in New York." Betty whispered to me. "So did I." I whispered back. We followed him to the sitting room. "Daddy, what are you doing here? I thought you were in New York." I asked him. "I was, but your mother kicked me out of the house." "Can't imagine why." I mumbled. "And your here because...?" "I'm going to be living here again." "What?" I asked him. "Yea. I also thought I would see Archie here, where us he?" He asked. I sighed and looked back at Betty then to my dad again. "We broke up." I told him. "I'm sorry to hear that. How come?" "He was cheating on me." "How long?" "Do you have to know eveything?! It was six months!" I told him. He chuckled, stood up and looked at me. "I told you he wasn't neither good or loyal enough to be with you." "You're one to talk about be loyal to people." He sighed and looked over at Betty. "I'm just gonna go." Betty said. "Thank you." He said and she walked out. "Really, daddy?" I asked. "What?" He asked. "I just found out that Archie was cheating on me and your making my friend -who was conforting me- leave?" "Well I'm not done talking." I rolled my eyes. "Yea well I am." I told him and ran to my room. I locked the door so he wouldn't be able to come in. There was a knock at the door. "Veronica? Veronica let me in ." He asked. I just looked at the door. "Veronica I'm your father, let me in." "No." I told him. I heard him sigh. "Why not?" He asked. "No, go find somewhere else to live." "Where would I go?" "I don't know the five seasons or back to New York just somewhere away from me." I heard him walk off. I grabbed my phone and texted Betty.

Betty

Hey sorry my dad made you leave.

It's fine besides I didn't leave because my mom called me as I leaving and I  didn't want to be on the phone while driving.

Oh! So where are you now?

I'm still in my car outside. I don't like texing or calling while driving.

**I got up and walked out of my door hoping my dad wasn't there. He wasn't. I looked back at my phone.

Oh that's smart

**I walked to the front door and saw her car still sitting there. I walked over and knocked on the window. She jumped a bit but smiled when she saw me. She rolled down the window. "What are you doing?" She asked. I laughed a bit. "Well when you said you were still here I wanted to say bye." She chuckled. "Well bye." "I don't want you to go." I complained. She laughed. "Well you dad is here and I think I'd be kind of weird." I nodded. "Yea your right. I'll see you at school?" I asked. "How about we walk together I'll come over here at around six." I smiled. "Okay." I watched her drive off. Then I heard my name. "Veronica." I rolled my eyes and looked back at my dad. "Yes, daddy?" I asked. "Why don't you want me to be here with you?" He asked. "Because where ever you go you bring bad things to me and eveyone I love and I don't be apart of any of your Octber surprises anymore." He looked down for a second then back up at me. "I'm not doing anything with anyone anymore." I scoffed. "Really? Cause that's what you said last time! I'm done talking to you right now. Find somewhere else to live." I said going inside and locking the door.

Betty's POV

Veronica's dad looked at me. "I'm just going to go." I said leaving Veronica's. As I walked outside my phone went off, it was my mom.

"Hello?"

"Betty are you still at your friends house?" She asked.

"Veronica's? I'm just about to leave, why?" I asked.

"No big deal it's just Archie's over here, he says he need to talk to you."

I sighed. "Yea okay tell him I'll be there in a bit."

"Alright bye." She said and hung up.

I in my car and my phone buzzed. It was Veronica. We texted each other for about a minute when a knock on my window scared me. It was Veronica. We talked for a couple of minutes. She wanted me to stay. I told her I'd she her tomorrow. I really wanted to stay, but her dad was there and that's why I didn't stay.

When I got home my mom opened the door before I could reach it. "Mom what's going on?" I asked her. "Archie is up in your room and he says it's really important that you two talk." I sighed. "Okay I'll go." I told her.

I walked into my room and Archie stood up from my bed. "What do you want Archie?" I asked shutting my door. I looked up at him. His face was cut up and bruised. "What the hell happened to you?" I asked. "None of that is important." I rolled my eyes. "Well why are you here?" I asked putting my bags down. "Well I wanted to ask if I could get your sisters number." "Wait what? Why?" I asked. "Because you know about me and Josie and I just wanted to ask ber a few things about." "Archie don't you have parents and doesn't she have parents." He sighed. "Yea, well we don't think her mom is going to like that and I don't know how my dad would react." I sighed. "Okay I'll talk to her cause I don't trust you." "Okay fine whatever. Let me know what she says." He said leaving.
