Part Fourty-Two

The next morning
Betty's POV

I woke up and notcied Veronica wasn't in the bed next to me. I got up and put a shirt and shorts on. I went downstairs and saw Veronica and her mom sitting at the table. "Betty!" Veronica said happily. Maybe a bit to happily. I sighed and sat down. "Is something wrong?" She asked. I shook my head. "No, just a slight headache that's all." I said. "Okay." Veronica said. Veronica looked back at her mom. "I still wanna know why we have to move out so soon." She said. Her mom at me. I tried hiding my smile. "Why are you looking at Betty?" She asked and looked at me. "Why are you smiling?!" She asked. "I uhh kinda sorta maybe told them to kicks us out and give us two weeks." She looked from me to her mom and back to me. "Why?" "Cause why not?" It was quiet again.

"Okay I wanna know. How exactly did the whole proposal thing go?" Her mom asked. Veronica and I looked at each other then to her mom. "I don't really think you wanna know mom." Veronica said. "Of course I do. Why wouldn't I?" I didn't want to say anything. Veronica looked at me telling me to say something. I shook my head. "Oh no I'm good. I'll let you do the talking." She sighed. "Let's just say I threw Betty's jacket across the room and it hit the wall." Her mom had a look on her face like she already knew everything. "Why were you throwing her jacket across the room?" She asked. Veronica stood up and grabbed my hand. "Yea, we're done here."

Three weeks after (cause I'm lazy)
Veronica's POV

Betty and I moved out of the Pembrooke about a week ago. We live somewhere in the middle of her mom and my parents. It was sorta a mess because we didn't get all of the boxes out. Most of them still had shit in them.

Right now Betty and I are just sitting on the couch watching TV. It has been quiet for so long. "What do you want to watch?" Betty asked scrolling through the channels. "I don't know." I said. She layed her head on my shoulder. "Let's just sleep." I laughed a little. "It's noon." "So?" "Is that all we're gonna do? Sleep?" She shrugged. "Maybe. We don't have anything to do." She said. "What do you mean?" I asked. "Well it's just us here." I nodded in agreement. "True." It was quiet. "We need to get out." I added. She looked at me. "What would we do?" She asked. I shrugged. "I don't know." She laughed. "What are you laughing at?" She shook her head. "Nothing. Nothing." I rolled my eyes. It was quiet again. I layed my head on her lap.

I could feel myself slowly drifting off to sleep. "See all we can do is sleep." Betty said. I laughed a little. "Shut up. I layed down." I said. "Whatever." I playfully hit her leg. "Rude." She said. I sat up and just looked at her. "What?" She asked. I still didn't say anything. "What?" She asked with a laugh. I just kissed her. She kissed me back and I straddled her. She unzipped my dress and pulled it down. We then heard the front door open. I looked up and she looked back at the door. It was Kevin. "Oh my god I'm so sorry." He said and shut the door again. I got up and pulled my dress back on and Betty when and opened the door. I walked over and he looked back at us. "Yes, Kevin?" Betty said. "Oh uhh nothing." He said. I was just wondering how he got in the house, it was locked. "No, what is it?" She said again. "It's nothing. It's not important. Talk later?" He asked.she nodded. "Yea?" She said and closed the door.

"How did he get a key?" I asked as we started walking back to the couch. She smiled a little at me and sat down. "I  don't know maybe he stole one." She said sarcastically. "Don't be like that. Did you give him a key?" I asked. "I mean yes. And no." "Yes and no?" "Yea?" "How is it a yes and no?" I asked. "He asked for one." She said. "And you didn't tell me?" "Well I didn't think he would come in while all this was happening." She said and laughed a little. I couldn't help, but laugh too. "I hate you." I said with a laugh. "Awe! You love me." I looked at her and sighed and rolled my eyes. I kissed her. "Yes. I. Do." I said in between kisses.
