Part Thirty-Nine

Skipping ahead a month I guess
Betty's POV

Summer has been great! Well... sometimes. My mom keeps calling me over and over again asking me to come home. I tell her no everytime and she always asks why. I don't answer I just hang up. There have been a couple of times where I had to get something from the house, but Veronica went inside to do it for me cause we both know my mom would not let me back outside. She has literally almost dragged me out if the car and back into the house. I fought back.

Now I'm sitting on Veronica's bed which she now calls our bed. I laugh sometimes when she says it cause I'm so used to calling it her bed. I looked at my phone to check the time. "11:50." I mimed to myself. I put my phone down and looked up and saw Veroncia standing there smiling at me. "Hey." She said. "Hi." I said and smiled back. I threw my head back on the pillows and sighed. "What's wrong?" She asked laying next to me. "Nothing just tired, but can't sleep." I told her. She layed her head on my shoulder. "Would you sleep better if I slept next to you." I signed again, rolled my eyes and smiled. "Why do you have to be like this?" I asked. She sat up and looked at me. "Like what?" She asked with the biggest smile on her face. I rolled my eyes again. I sat up a little grabbed her and pulled her back down with me. She laughed a little. It was quiet for a little bit.

"You know there's one thing we haven't talked about." Veronica said. I looked at her. "Really? What is that?" I asked. "Our future." I looked up for a second then back at her. "Now that I think about it, we actually haven't." I said. "Yea, where do you see us in the future?" She asked. "I don't know.  Maybe we could probably stay here in Riverdale and probably two or three kids. I don't know. How about you?" I asked. She shrugged. "I guess maybe we could stay here and I think... I agree with everything you said." I smiled and kissed her head. "I love you." I said. I noticed her blush a little and looked away. I smiled even more. "Oh come on this is nothing..." I stopped and turned her face to look at me. "New." "I know it still just gets me though." She said. I smiled even more. "I love you." I said again. She smiled and blushed even more. "I love you too." She said and kissed me. After a few minutes she pulled away. "We should get to bed." She said and yawned a little. I smiled. "Yea we should." We layed down and I pulled her closer to me. "We can talk more about our future tomorrow." She said. I nodded. "Yea, okay." Eventually she fell asleep. I couldn't go to sleep for the longest time. I looked at my phone. "Is it really 1:30?" I mumbled to myself trying not to wake Veronica. She moved. I quickly out my phone down. She didn't wake up. I let out a small sigh of relief.

Okay SUPER SHORT chapter. I hate this. I hate how short it is. I just hate it. A small heads up there is going to be a bit of a time gap in the next chapter. It's not just a little one but it's not a big. Just a little heads up.
