Goggles was running down a hallway. 'Almost there' he thought as he continued to run and soon reached a door that lead outside. He opened the door and gasped. The town he grew up in was destroyed.
Goggles couldn't look away and soon noticed a boy with yellow-green tentacles jump towards the monster that had destroyed the city only to get hit by a building. The boy escaped and continued to move towards the monster.
"That's horrible!" Goggles exclaimed as he continued to watch. "You can't help it. One person can't handle this alone." Kyubey, who was nearby, told Goggles. "But he knew that and came here anyway. "
Goggles gasped again as he saw the boy slam into something metal. "No, this isn't right! It's too much for him!" Goggles exclaimed clearly worried. The boy noticed Goggles and yelled something that went unheard.
"If he gives up, it's over." Kyubey started. "But you have the power to change this destiny." Goggles gasped hearing what Kyubey said but quickly covered his ears. "All this tragedy. All this destruction. You can change it if you want. The power to do so lies within you." "I can change it?" Goggles asked surprised. The yellow-green boy yelled something again but that also went unheard. "Even someone like me can do something to help? Can I really change how this ends?"
"Of course you can. Just make a contract with me and become a magical squid!" Kyubey exclaimed. Goggles was silent before getting a determined look on his face, about to say something.
Then, he woke up.
