chapter 1-Amnesty is used to it!

My life is a series of chain reaction and very soon you will get a very good idea why.

"Amnesty! come down for a moment Leroy you too , your dad and I need to talk to you two" mom called out.

Both Leroy ( my younger brother ) and I opened our room doors at the same time. We looked at each , both of us had the same expression on our faces. While going to meet them Leroy asked me "Sis how many times have we been there done that? 7 times or 8 times?"

I have always felt kind of sorry of Leroy, though both of us have the same fate, Leroy has always been somewhat shy, and that sucks for people like us. I replied " 9 times to be more precise."
There was an awkward silence for like five minutes after which mom cleared her throat and said " listen all of us know that our financial state isn't that good, at times like this it must be fate that your dad received a job offer from really good multinational company in Tokyo, Japan. What do you guys think ain't it great?"
Like seriously mom at least change the script, for starters we are not financially down and it's everytime that dad receives an offer from a reaaaaalllly good multinational company. Leroy just gets up and says " yeah, fine I am cool with it, so I will leave first."

"Wait there is more, one of the facilities provided by the company is that they are willing to pay three fourth of the school tuition fees for the employee's children, Amnesty I have looked for a school for you for your first, second and third year, it's one of the most elite schools of all times. The Odin academy." Dad explains.

I mean like what the hell, this is something really new. I mean Odin academy, the Odin academy. It's a residential school the word elite doesn't even begin to describe it, even with my dad's new company paying the three fourth of fees it will still be not affordable for us.

"Dad what are you saying, to join that academy either you have to be super rich or super smart, and I am sure you aware that I am neither and what about Leroy?" I said it in a sarcastic tone.

"I will make sure Leroy finds a good school. I know you kids know, I change jobs for a better income so that I can give you better lives and so later on you lead an honorable life. Amnesty these three years will define your future. The first year I will observe your grades if they are not worth the effort I'm putting then you will have to change schools. I want no argument you may leave." Dad explained

I quietly got up and left. I never argue with Dad on these matters not because my dad is strict or any thing, it's because I know his intentions. I know how he has struggled to be what he is today. He would never want me to face the same difficulty due to low finances. I as his daughter have never given him that proud happiness. That is why I will make sure he gets it this time.

I went to Leroy's room first, he probably understands better than me, but every time we shift it becomes more difficult for him to let people in. He has got the mind set, why to let people in when you have to throw them out any way. " Bro, tomorrow is our last day at this school I will ask mom for money, we will treat our friends for the last time tomorrow, okay?" I said in my best concerned voice possible.

He smiled and replied okay.

The next day like any other day, we left for school. I had already prepared what I had to say. So the first thing during the homeroom period, I gathered Leila, Cindy, Ashley, Ryan, Darren and at last Adam. My time in this school has been memorable because of this people. We just got along so well that it seemed unnatural, this would be my hardest farewell so far. Especially Adam, out of all I am partial to him the most. He has always been around when ever I have felt down, he had become so close that I had not even felt awkward while discussing menstrual issues with him. Until Recently I had got to know from 'sources' that he liked me, and thats the last thing a person who is close to me and wants to remain should do. One of the rotten things about my personality is that I subconsciously start ignoring the person that likes me. This is the main reason I may have had crushes but never a relationship, because I am scared of it, anyways that a different topic altogether. When I started ignoring Adam obviously he noticed, even though I haven't told him about my relationship syndrome he quite figured it out and came and told me that there is no need to worry, he likes me as the most important friend.

"Yo lee! Why have you called this conference, finally started liking someone?" Darren said it in his usual mischievous voice.

Ignoring him I continued " guys I am sorry this is all too sudden, I am transferring to japan. My dad changed his job. Today is my last day at school and with you all.You guys have been so amazing..."

"Save it Ness, your telling this to us today it's not like you got to know about it yesterday." Ashley said raging.

" Trust Me I got to know about this myself yesterday, please can my last day be the most memorable day with you guys, let's go out treats on me" I pleaded.

"What about you, do want to leave?" Leila questioned, that was so like her always concerned.

"I want to go, I am getting the opportunity to study at the Odin Academy, I can't let it go," I announced.

"OH MY GOOD LORDS!" Ryan exclaimed.

The expression on everyone's face was really something, I could almost laugh. I explained the whole story to them. Cindy was gonna burst out crying, I hugged tight and told all of them that it's not like we would not be in contact. At last Adam stood up and said "okay if this is really your last day, we have no option but to make it special."

Adam, always the one to pull me out of the hole.
