Chapter 14 - best shot!

His grey hypnotizing eyes were holding the attention of my honey brown ones. With a lot of effort I pulled out of that force, cleared my throat and said " listen Reeve Ray, not like it's any of your business, but I have got a lot of things on my hand, plus this is a new place. It's just cause of this I fainted otherwise I literally have never fainted."

He stood there in a very attractive posture, with his one eyebrow rising at me, questioning me.

" Really, Amnesty Lee you can't handle this much pressure. I thought you were better than that." 

Okay, that was really it. What gives him the right to judge me. What the fuck does he even know About me. About what I am going through. I Never really lose my temper, I usually never really give a fuck about people's bull, but right now at this moment I was raging, I don't know if it was because of sickness irritation. I just snapped at him.

" Stop! Just stop. You have no clue who I am and what I am. What am I going through. If I don't get good grades, I will change schools, again. I will disappoint my dad, again. I will not get to experience growing with same people, again. I...I ."

Tears filled my eyes, shit.

I am crying and speaking, I must be looking so pathetic right now.

I try and focus on Ray, through my teary vision. I could swear I caught his expression soften for a moment.

Finally he spoke.

" You don't have to cry About it…."

" I am not crying, I am just angry. My eyes teared up when I am angry. I am not crying, I am angry," I protested interrupting him.

" … Since you had told me before, about how I am gaining so much from this deal of ours. I have decided to add, tutoring you in the list. That way we will balance out." He said in his famous indifferent tone.

" Listen, your sympathy is the last thing I want right now." I told him.

" I am not sympathizing with you. Like I said I am gaining more from all this, I don't want me owing you anything. Plus torturing you will heal me spiritually." He smirks at the last part.

I can literally read everyone, a skill developed by meeting different kinds of people. Right now my experience is of no use, I can't read him at all. I have no idea what he is thinking, did I just discovered a new human species. 

" So? What do you think?" He snaps me back to reality.

" Oh, this time I get a choice?" I answer raising my left eyebrow.

" Actually you don't, I was just right to be professional."

The thought surprisingly brought relief to my mind, it was like a win-win to me. If Reeve said that he will take care of my studies (indirectly), then he will do it by hook or crook, but we have got to set ground rules first. " Okay, you have to promise something first that you will be patient and not lose your temper if I don't get something, especially math! Also you have to note that I am a human, and I need a rest from time to time..."

"Listen, I will decide your limit, I decide when you need a rest. I will basically make your whole day schedule, and you have to abide by it. If you don't, there will be consequences," He said cutting me off.

"But…" I try to speak, but he interrupted.

" No buts… also rule no.1 never waste my time." With that he walked out of the room.

Few minutes later, Shane and Adriana walked in, they were clearly worried. I felt so awkward, I have visited a sick friend many times, these would first time someone visiting me. I am just like lying there, people looking at what a mess I am… totally a weird scenario if you ask me.

" Hmm… hey!" I spoke first.

" Don't fucking hey me, Ness what the fuck. Why the fuck did you faint. What the fuck have you been hiding from us." Adriana was speaking in her fuck language, literally radiating thermal waves right now, and to be honest, I getting so screwed.

I told them the whole story, my deal with dad, my deal with Reeve.

" I don't like this, Ness I will tutor you chuck Reeve. What if you end up worse than this time!" Shane spoke shaking his head.

Adriana ( now cooled down) took over the conversation, "Even though Shane is a bit right, when Reeve had carried you to the infirmary,  that time I was so scared that  my legs couldn't even keep up with him, I was glad Reeve told control over the situation, I would have Frozen. Please don't push yourself Ness."

" More like took advantage of it." Shane muttered.

Reeve, carried me?!

" Guys I will be fine, I promise. This is my best shot." I smiled at them hoping they would understand.
