Chapter 16- the tutor torture!

I was quietly following him. I had almost forgotten what kind of presence Reeve Ray had. Even though there were less people around, they were well aware of who Reeve Ray is. Of course they would stare at Ray, and then notice the unidentified little thing following him. 

I slowed down my pace, to create some distance between us. As he walked, people in his path cleared out stepping aside. They would all be looking at him, with a face which just got intimidated and I would look at each and everyone who is looking at him. Ray during this whole process kept his head straight ahead.

What I was thinking this whole time?   "Woah, yes kids he is the who got defeated by "me". Maybe I lowkey have this badass nature which even I am not aware of ." 

Ray stopped and I banged into his muscular back. I had this moment of deja Vu, and I subconsciously blurted " I am sorry Alan senpai!"

"Alan senpai?" He turned back and asked in a low voice.

" Oh crap, I mean Ray! I had a similar incident with Alan senpai, my nose hasn't recovered ever since!" I laughed at the last part, his expression showed that he didn't find it funny.

I was following him so blindly, I didn't realize we were in the parking lot, "hmm, this is the parking lot, we had to take the other turn for the cafeteria!" 

" I don't like the food at Odin, I am going out." He pulled out his car keys.

Fuck. I carefully recalled if he had asked me to follow him. If not this is extremely embarrassing, me following him when he had not even asked me to. If he did ask me, am I supposed to get in his car and go for breakfast with him just like that, when like a few days ago we were at each other's throats, that would be even more awkward.

" Do you want an invitation? get in!" His cold sarcastic voice shook me into reality.

Damn! do I pace out so much while thinking? God save me in exams. I just follow his orders, it will be really stupid of me if I followed him all the way here and then try to act over smart.

Okay, inside the car it was even more awkward. I hoped he would turn on the music or something. I didn't want a silent journey to wherever the hell we were going, neither do I want him to start asking me questions because that's the kind of person he is, "I hate wasting time".

I am in Reeve Ray's car, my mortal enemy. I didn't think twice before getting in his car, okay I did but that wasn't for safety reasons. Maybe deep down I trust him (okay don't judge me! Don't be like oh Amnesty hotness is enough to change minds, no that's not it). In my defense, I don't  have an option but to trust him because as much as I hate to admit it, I depend on him, but no worries I will return all his favors.

He turns on the music *sign of relief*, hard metallic base EDM kind of music, which I hate.

 I immediately thought of Adam, he loved this kind of music. There was not once when Adam and I didn't argue on what music is to be played in the car when all of us hangout (even though it was his car). Our argument always ended up with a round of rock paper scissors, which I always won.

The thought of all of them, made me happy. What would they be doing now? Do they talk about me, are they pissed with me for not contacting them?

"What's so funny?" He asked, while his eyes were still on the road, damn his peripheral vision.

I didn't realize I was smiling, I need to stop zoning out, god knows what kind of faces I make while thinking. I was smiling, but he doesn't need to know why.

" Normal humans smile Reeve Ray and there need not be a reason for that. Not that you will understand, when was the last time you thought something was funny, do you even know what a joke is?" 

I thought, he will ignore me and then say something like " this is why you are dumb, you waste your brain cells on stupid stuff."

" It's not like that, I do find things funny." He glanced over at me with a smirk.

I had a bad feeling about it, but I asked anyways.

"Like?"

" Remember the time I thought, tutoring you will be a torture for you and would heal me spiritually, where else now I can see the exact opposite thing happening." He let out a sarcastic laugh.

" Haha, very funny!" I let out a fake laugh.

Just that moment, Reeve Ray did something that I thought he was not capable of. He smiled, not a sarcastic egoistic smirk or a grin, a pure normal human smile, showing off his side dimple. He had a dimple, why hadn't I noticed it before. Reeve Ray was looking 10 times more attractive, if that was even possible. 

Oh my God! my heart's beating fast.

"You... you are smiling?..how?" I asked unsure.

His smile disappeared, and I immediately regretted opening my mouth.

" Aren't humans supposed to smile." He pulled in his car in the parking of a restaurant called the garden restaurant.

" I like the food here, but not ambience. I will get take outs for us. You stay here." He said as he got out of the car, I got out too.

He stared at me, asking was what I was doing.

" I am tired of sitting, I will just walk around the car." I said closing the car door as I got out.

" By the way, I am a vegan!" I shouted at him as he was walking away. 

"I know!" He replied still walking forward.

How does he know?

I just strolled around, the weather was nice fresh and cool even though it's almost noon.

Just then a golden retriever came running towards me and a late 40s man running right behind the dog.

I quickly caught the dog and stroked her gently to calm her down.

"Sorry… kid… she left my grip and ran!" He spoke out of breath. I quickly fetched a water bottle from my bag and handed it to him.

He took it with gratitude. " Your are good with dogs, do you have one of your own?" He asked.

" No, I always played with the ones my friends had." I replied patting the dog.

" Her name is coachella." He too squatted besides me patting her.

" That's a very pretty name sir!"

" Coachella, has given birth to nine puppies thats why she was rushing towards my car. Do you want to see them?" He asked.

"Nine Golden retriever puppies. Of course I want to see them." I replied and quickly got up.

He took me to his car, and I saw the most amazing sight. They were extremely cute. I played with them for a while, thanked him and returned back to Ray's car, where he was pacing back and forth with his phone by his ears.

He stopped as he saw me. 

"Hey!" I ran up to him. " Got the food?"

"Where were you, didn't I tell you to stay here. Why were you not picking up your phone?" He asked with a dark expression.

" Oh that!" I replied. I narrator him the whole story. His expression became even more dark, and his jaw tightened. I stopped speaking.
