chapter 13- stupid woman!

To be honest I was looking forward to train Amnesty lee. Irritating her is too satisfying. She acts on impulse, get embarrassed too easily, too obvious. She has blended in with an environment which is 180 degrees new to her, she did it like cake walk. I have realized something, unconsciously my eyes are always looking for her. I analyse her as a personality totally different from mine. From the beginning she was a person about whomever I knew nothing about, whatever I have learnt about her is purely based on my own observations.

Morning started good. She was irritated and embarrassed to her limit. Especially when I saw her bra under her pillow. I had originally not noticed it, but it become obvious through her expression. I couldn't help but wonder if it's  actually her size. I mean she always wears baggy clothes so you can never guess from under all those layers.

She gets tired way too easy, during her training today, it was more prominently showing than the day on the basketball court. The task I gave her today should have been easy for a person who is into sports. Either she is not giving her best or that's just how low her stamina is. I have got a long way to go.

After the training, I quickly got ready for school. I scrolled through my emails to check for something important and there it was, better late than never. The email I was eagerly waiting for.

It said:

Dear Reeve Charles Ray,

We are pleased to inform you that you have achieved the highest rank in student council exams. You are therefore declared the most appropriate candidate for the position of the student council president. 

You are required to prepare a speech as the new student body head, at the Investiture ceremony which is to be held on 7th September 2019.

Note: please keep in mind that any information provided by the school related to the student council, including the identity of the new council is to be kept confidential.

This was literally the best morning I could ask for. I entered the class late, I immediately spotted Lee sitting on her seat surrounded by Adriana and Shane. This has been happening a lot lately, as soon as I enter the class, my eyes will immediately locate Lee, it was like I default setting. Maybe I have gotten used to it, since day one I had been doing this.

Few seconds later, Mrs Malik entered the class. There was a crash sound, Lee's chair had fallen sideways, Lee stumbled two steps backwards and followed her chair.

I don't know whether is was an adrenaline rush or something, but the sight of her collapsing had me sprang into action. I quickly slid my hand under her head preventing it from hitting. 

It was chaotic in the background, everyone was panicking. I couldn't hear shit, all my focus was on her. In all these days I have never seen her so quiet, she probably even blabbered in her sleep, this didn't feel good at all.

I was frozen with her in my arms, until Adriana shook me. " Reeve, her pulses are low." There was fear in her voice.

I immediately came back to reality. I placed my palm on her cheek, patting in gently. 

" Lee, for God sake open your eyes." My voice sounded like an order.

I sprinkled some water on her face, but her eyelids won't budge. She was cold, her face was  pale, her tender pink lips were white. Her lips were beautiful why hadn't I noticed it before.

Without any further ado, I quickly pulled her up into my arms stood up and headed out of the class towards the infirmary. 

"Where do think you are taking her, haven't you had enough of your fun?" Shane said blocking the door.

" Reevy you don't have to take the trouble, let her friends handle it" Hanna was right beside Shane.

I ignored both of them, and curled my arms tightly around her and walked out.

" Shane we should just follow him, there is no time to waste,"  Adriana told Shane catching up with me.

I stormed inside the infirmary, John stood up as soon as he saw me. John is my family doctor as well as the head of medical facilities as odin academy. He is only 24, and a very good friend of mine.

" Quickly check what's wrong with her," I demanded.

" First, please all of you step outside," John insisted.

I gave him a death stare, which he understood immediately. Adriana and Shane where right behind me.

" Shane can stay here since he got her in, both of you please wait outside." 

Shane was going to protest, Adriana stopped him. Both of them left.

I sat on the couch opposite to her bed, where John was examining her. He was putting her on saline drips. What is wrong with her, is she so serious, why didn't she tell me in the morning. I was getting impatient. I am not used to seeing her quite, neither do I want to get used to it.

John comes up to me, I stand up immediately. "Tell me, what's wrong with her," I demanded.

" I guess she hasn't been eating well nor is she sleeping well. On top of that, she has a really low hemoglobin, therefore she gets tired easily. It will be dangerous for her if she keeps up this attitude. I have put her on saline, she would wake up in an hour or so. Also keep in mind she rests for a few days." John explained.

" I am going now, I have to report to your class teacher and update her, also her family needs to know."

As soon as John left I pulled out the chair next to Lee's bed and sat  besides her. She was breathing softly. Her slightly parted lips I can't deny, were very tempting. I couldn't help but think how tightly she had tied her hair, I felt uncomfortable looking at her. 

With a slight hesitation, I slowly lifted her head and gently pulled her rubber band out. My fingers gently sliding through her silky honey brown hair, feeling the softness of them. 

I brought back to reality, when Lee suddenly kicked her blanket. I was positive she was still asleep.

What the fuck!

Seriously, really what is wrong with me. I was caressing someone...a girl, in her sleep. Shit!

" What are you doing here?" Lee said rubbing her eyes.

" Did I wake you up?" I asked

" Woke up with the a loud sound of 'what the fuck'," she replied.

Shit I said that out loud.

" Now that you are awake, I will take my leave," I stood up abruptly and was ready to leave. Thats when Lee caught my shirt.

" Wait, why are you here, why am I here and happen to the class."

I snapped, I had totally forgotten that she had starved, acted careless and had overworked herself into this situation.

" Oh you are asking me? Care to explain, what made you starve and over work yourself?" I questioned.

" With this situation of yours, I will never be able to reach my target with you. If you keep on fainting every now and then. I got you here, because I felt guilty. I thought I pushed you to your limit. I never knew, your performance today was the result of your work in progress. Your are seriously the mostly careless person I have met." I was literally fuming.

" I...I fai..int." she was struggling to sit up.

" BE STILL STUPID WOMAN." I went next to her, with my hand around her waist and the other on her elbow I gently pulled her up to a sitting position. 

Our eyes locked.
