As soon as, Hanna and I entered the cafeteria, the first person I noticed was the new girl, I will call her Lee. I think I noticed her as she was sticking out like a sore thumb because of her clothes.
She was still will Shane. I guess she has no clue, what a guy and a girl eating alone means in Japan. I was highly doubtful about whether this was really her first time meeting Shane.
We took a place further from their table. At the moment, Hanna was muttering something, in which I was least interested in. Hanna noticed my lack of focus, and snapped me out of it.
" Reevy, where is your focus. We should go and get our lunch." She suggested.
" Really, I don't feel like eating, and also I haven't got my ID card yet." I replied.
" Oh that reminds me," Hanna takes out an ID card with my name written on it.
" The new girl Amnesty, had been given the job to distribute these, to everyone. I asked her for yours, I know you rather have me give it to you." She said indifferently while applying her lip gloss.
Seriously, why does Hanna meddle with my business. I was disappointed, I wanted her to start the conversation with me first. As classmates we will have to talk to each other sooner or later, but that person who starts it ain't gonna be me.
The question is, where was I when she was socializing with the rest of the class. Oh right, I was plucked in probably. School is probably the world's most boring place, and music keeps me alive. So when I am plucked in, imaginary walls form around me isolating me from reality.
I looked at Lee, she was exchanging desserts with Shane, then she said something and Shane was taking it back, she stopped him and then they started laughing. Even Shane seemed… different around her more lively. Shane is the responsible one of the class, he comes second in academics and isn't bad at sports either. To maintain his class representative reputation he acts more mature than the rest, hardly attends any parties or joins us for drinks. For me Shane isn't a problem, and I guess neither will he being future.
" I don't know why, I don't like that girl. For some reason she gets on my nerves." Hanna said.
That makes two of us, I thought.
" Hmm, why wouldn't you say that. Did something happen?" I asked her.
" You see when she came to hand out my ID card, I compliment her watch, instead of saying thank you, she replied that that I was right, and only some people can pull off wearing it. That ugly watch. She was trying to mock me, what audacity." Hanna was frustrated.
That Lee girl saw through, Hanna. Her reply did humor me though.
I glanced over her, again. Now she was debating with Shane and he was equally participating in it. In these pasted hours she had talked to Shane more than I have since we here in kindergarten. Then they got up and left.
"Listen, after dinner Kol and the party are gonna meet at the OC ( Odin center) after dinner. You have to come!" Hanna ordered.
If I declined she will probably come to fetch me, and that's the only reason why I say, " I will be there."
I took my leave saying, I have to check out my clubs. Other than prince charming title, I have got various reputations to uphold, I am in three clubs with includes instrumental music, archery and basketball, I would have taken more if there was an option, however I do take requests from other clubs when they need my help. No need to be surprised, I indeed am simply splendid.
I went around, to renew my membership at the clubs I was officially a member of. At the basketball club, I found Shane handing in a club form.
" Decided to change clubs since you can't surpass me. Sadly I am in basketball too." I said to him patting his shoulder.
