The sound of shattering glass and a quickly cut scream woke Tord in the middle of the night. He gasped and shot up in bed, only to be blinded by a stabbing bright light that showed itself beyond his eye.

He blinked and rubbed his eye, looking around. He gasped, seeing his lover was no longer next to him and that the sheets had been torn off. He looked over to the broken window, where the captors had broken in and stolen Edd.

Tord growled, his eye going wide. He quickly got out of bed, standing up and quickly looking around for any evidence left behind by the captors. His robotic hand felt through the glass, a blue, ultraviolet light coming off from one of his fingertips to search for any signs of fingerprints. He couldn't find any, not even on the largest of the glass pieces.

Tord began sinking with worry and fear at the thought of what they could be doing to his lover at the moment, right here, right now. Surely it hadn't had been too long ago when they broke in and took him. Maybe he could still track them down through the woods and find them by either hearing them or just simply spotting them.

But what was he going to do about Ellody? He was sure she wouldn't mind being left alone. He'd just tell her that he'd have to go do some errands and Edd was training with his pilots. She knew Pat and Paul very well and liked them a lot, so she knew to respect them and not bother them when they're training with new recruits, like her and her mother.

Tord quickly turned and went to the little wooden nightstand by the bed. He picked up the digital alarm clock and looked at the time. It was 2:00 in the morning. Surely, whoever the attackers are (or were), arrived at around 1:45, sneaked around the Red Base and the guards to his room, spotted him and Edd through the window, broke in around 1:50, and took Edd around 1:55 after shattering the glass and throwing the blinding light at Tord to distract him. They had to be close.

Tord set the clock down and turned, jumping out the window and landing on his feet with a small grunt. He stood tall and straight, scanning the woods for any sign of movement or struggle. He didn't know how many people were there that took Edd. And he knew Edd very well. If anything happened to him and he didn't want it or like it, he'd struggle and fight back.

He had an idea of why they had taken him. Maybe they were one of his rival armies that sent him a threatening peace treaty and, if wasn't signed by this day and delivered on that day, something 'terrible' would happen to him or his family or even his army. He didn't take his family issue very seriously. Not a lot of enemies knew about his family and, if they did, they were already teamed up with the Red Base from surrender and so much blood shed from the master-mind of the Red Leader himself.

Tord dashed into the woods, mumbling to himself. If that was the reason, then they must be pretty dumb. But, if it wasn't, then what was? Why did they take his lover? What did they want from him?

Tord's mind continued racing with questions. The left side of his brain was panicking and thinking horrible thoughts of what could be happening to Edd. They could be tying him down, hurting him, hitting him, gagging or shocking him. Meanwhile, the right side of his brain was trying to think more of the plans and find a way to rescue Edd and bring him back home. If they were hurting Edd, both sides of his brain would have the same thought.

Kill them.
