Tord woke up, strapped to a metal table. He growled, pulling his wrists and tugging his ankles up. No use. Metal, strong clamps kept him down. He could still hear the gunfire between the two enemy sides, and it was hard to tell who was winning. He lifted his head up as best he could, but even his neck was strapped down tightly. He choked slightly, but he looked around the room he was in. The walls were hard cement, the floor a dark carpet with red, dry blood stains. He huffed, his eye closing halfway as he lay his head back against the table.

He heard the door open and tensed, quickly looking over at the direction of the sound. His heart lifted with joy as he saw his lover, but it soon dropped once he realized Edd was being pushed inside and his wrists were tied behind his back. His head was down, his hair draped over his eyes, covering them.

Tord frowned, clearing his throat as soon as he realized the person that was pushing Edd in was someone he never seen or knew. Thank God.

Edd looked up, his eyes sparkling with happiness. That feeling seemed to snap out of him and he narrowed his eyes at Tord, turning his head away with a small jolt of pain.

"E-Edd," Tord tried to speak, not seeing the action from Edd.

But, Edd cut him off. "Quiet, Tord," he said with a small growl, his eyes no longer happy. He seemed depressed and not himself.

"Edd, I'm sorry," Tord tried again.

"I said shut up!" Edd snapped, turning his head to glare at Tord with what seemed to be hatred.

Tord ignored him, thinking he was just upset and tired to be tied and still stuck in the place he's been in for months. "Edd, listen to me, please," Tord begged. "I-I know you're mad at me for not coming sooner, but I-I can explain everything once we win."

Edd scoffed, rolling his eyes. "Once you make them win," he muttered.

Tord furrowed a brow. "What? What are you talking about, darling?" He glanced over at the mysterious man and saw him smiling. "That doesn't even make sense," he said, turning his attention back to Edd.

Edd only shook his head. "Of course, you wouldn't understand," he said in a mocking, angry tone. "Not when you're the scheme behind it all."

Tord huffed, irritated. He seriously didn't understand what Edd was trying to say. "Edd? What's the matter?" he asked gently, trying to hide his slight anger by showing some concern to his lover.

Edd sniffled softly. "You brainwashed me, right?" he asked in a soft whisper. "You brainwashed them all."

Tord fell silent. He shook his head slowly, finally speaking, "You really believe her? After all that bitch has done to you?"

Edd rolled his eyes again, the man behind him untying his wrists. He pushed Edd forward, closing the door. He went over to Tord and unlocked him from the table, turning, and walking out. He closed the door behind him, Tord hearing the door lock from the outside. He massaged his wrists, sitting up. He straightened himself and stood, looking over at Edd. "Seriously, Edd, I know everything she's done to you. I'm sorry I couldn't be here for so long."

"Just stop trying, Tord," Edd snapped in return, stepping away from Tord's reach. "Carla gave me proof. PROOF!" He glared at Tord, making the taller man flinch back. "You brainwashed every single soldier in your army if they didn't want to join your army. I don't know how, but you brainwashed me and Ellody. You are not brainwashing my son."

Tord let a small growl escape him. "Then show me this proof, Edd. Tell me how Carla gave it to you, what made you believe she's right. Go on, I'm listening."

Edd crossed his arms. "She showed me a video. You were in the 'Torture Room' with this large device in your hands. You had one soldier at a time, approached them, and placed it on their heads. I could hear their screams that were silent, see the pain in their eyes as their body lit up and thrashed around as if they were having a seizure. The video cut right off after that for each one, and the next clip after always showed them after what you did. They were different. Their eyes were dull, their skin pale. Whatever you did to them, whatever you did to my daughter, to me, it's not happening to my son."

Tord shook his head. "Edd, I have no words," he said. "None of that is true, you should know! I'm nothing like that."

"Yeah, well, you could have been," Edd returned. "I mean, you did betray our friends for a stupid robot."

"I HAD NO CHOICE!" Tord snapped, glaring at Edd. "It was either that or my father killed me and you entirely. I couldn't have that."

Edd shook his head. "Excuses," he said. "I didn't believe it at first, but after what Carla insisted, I know she's right."

"How, Edd? Have you EVER seen that sort of 'device' around me, the base, or even my scientists?" Tord asked, his hands turning into fists. "You are absurd, especially to believe something like that and from her." He felt as if he could snap. He stepped close to Edd, standing in front of him.

Edd ignored the move, shaking his head again. "You did something to me, to my daughter, to your soldiers." He placed his hands over his rounded, large stomach. "But it's not happening to my boy. Nothing will happen to my boy."

"It's OUR boy, Edd!" Tord screamed, jabbing a finger into Edd's chest. "That boy is my son AS WELL AS YOURS."

Edd glared up at Tord and pushed him back. "He will never be your son, Tord!" he shouted back. "Never!"

Tord felt infuriated. "Get a hold of yourself, Edd, before I smack it into you," he growled, gritting his teeth and holding his arm down. He didn't want to hurt his lover. "Please. I'm sorry you feel like this, okay? But, I promise you, it's not true. Nothing of that is true, baby."

Edd turned. "Don't call me baby, Tord," he stated. "It's over. We're over. You are dangerous, especially to my son. You're not hurting him or Ellody ever again." He walked away to the door, opening it, and slamming it shut behind him, leaving Tord feeling broken and alone.
