Chapter 1: Pt 2

What....do we even say? What do we even do? I thought everyone had felt the same. However....someone's pride and hope made them finally snap out of it.

"Screw that bear!" Rin suddenly snapped, making everyone turn his attention to him. He looked up at us, his eyes flaring off fierce determination.

"Can you believe this guy?! He's so desperate for us to kill each other that he's willing to sink this low to threats and blackmail! If you asking me, he just doesn't have the balls to face us himself!" he stated. I was caught off guard by his words. Just like yesterday....he still refused to be give in to Monokuma.

"Well ya know what, I'm not gonna let that guy drive me to kill someone just cause of some stupid secret! Fuck that guy!" Rin stated. Rena smiled, putting on a wide smile. 

"Yeah, it doesn't matter what he says or does, I won't give in either!" she stated. Lilac smiled and stood by Rin, giving a firm nod in agreement. Nagito smiled as well. "You guys.....there is so much hope within you. It's truly beautiful. It seems nothing will be able to dampen your ray of hope as it out shines your fear. Magnificent...." he said. His words were genuine, as if he was truly entranced. I noticed that he does seem to speak about hope a lot. 

"Perhaps not giving in is easier for you to say, but that might be more difficult for the rest of us." Kanato stated coldly. Mello scowled and turned his head away in slight disgust.

"Yeah. You know, the reason you're holding onto that damn hope is cause you're still a kid. You still think that everything will be okay, and that we'll all be fine. But the hard truth is, not everyone might survive down here. Not everything is rainbows and sunshine. You still wanna believe we'll find a magical way outta here, be my guest, but don't repeat the same, meaningless crap over and over!" he spat. 

Mello's speech made everyone look at him surprised. Even Near seemed slightly taken aback. Rin looked at Mello wide eyed, then he put on a serious expression. ".....I know not everything goes right. And you're right, shit happens, and sometimes you can't fix it...." Mello looked at him surprised.

"But giving in isn't going to make anything better. I have to at least try to keep some hope up! I gotta believe that we'll get outta here, even if its only a little bit! But the last thing I'll ever do is give in. Even to a sick bastard like him! .....I'm not saying everyone here has to feel the same as I do, but you gotta at least try to believe, right?" Rin stated. There was a moment of silence. 

Shortly after, Kokichi finally chuckled.

"Nee-heehee, damn Rin. Props to you! And the award to best motivational speech goes to Rin Okumura!" he stated. Magane giggled. 

"I'm surprised. I didn't think anyone here would have any motivation to keep living after those videos, but its entertaining to see that one of you still has a fiery spirit. Well done, well done." she said, clapping her hands. Kokichi chuckled and joined in her clapping. It was beyond difficult to tell whether they were being genuine, or if they were lying and being smart asses. Either way, Rin seemed to brush them off with a wide smile.

"Like I said, I'm not gonna let this video get to me. Someone said there was a game room around here, right? I don't know about you guys, but all this stress and investigating has been exhausting. Anyone care to join me in some fun for once?" he said. Lilac immediately perked up and nodded her head frantically. Rin chuckled and placed a hand on top of her head.

"Sweet, one wants to join! Who else?" he said. Rena raised her hand. "I'll come join." she stated. Everyone looked around, and to my surprise, the fear and stress on most of their faces seemed to fade away. Most of them....Mello, Near, Johannes, and Kanato still seemed uneasy.
