A Whole New Killing Game!

Chapter 1: Pt 8

My eyes widened, staring at Johannes as he confessed his crime. He....he really did it. He killed Nagito. Even when we got all the evidence and even after he confessed.....it's still hard to believe. 

"You did it, huh? Tch, dammit...." Zack said, seeming irritated. "I-I don't believe it...." Crona murmured. Everyone mostly remained in silence, looking away sadly or uncomfortably. However, Kokichi didn't seem the least bit upset. In fact, he even put on a smirk.

"Nee-heehee, so it was cat boy that did it, huh? Someone's been a bad kitty, haven't they?" he said, chuckling afterwards. "Hey, that's not something to joke about!" Rin snapped.

"Alright, seems everyone has come to a decision! It's voting time! You'll notice a little screen near your stand. Everyone, please select a culprit." Monokuma said. I looked down, seeing the screen. I saw it from the beginning of the trial, but I wasn't sure what it was for. The screen turned on....revealing a selection screen. My heart sank to my stomach as I saw Johannes's selection, but swallowed nervously and pressed the button.

"Pufufufufu~ Will you make the right choice? Or the dreadfully wrong one?" Monokuma said. 

A screen turned on behind him. It showed who we each voted for....which was unanimously Johannes. I was taken aback. Even Johannes voted for himself? Well, there was too much evidence against him, and he had already confessed. Not like his vote would matter anyway.

"Let's see if your votes are correct, shall we?" Monokuma said. Suddenly, a spinning wheel appeared beside him. There were sixteen slots on the wheel....each one with out faces. The spinner in the middle spun like mad, immediately making me dizzy. However, it eventually slowed down....and landed on Johannes.

"Congratulations! You all got it right! The culprit who killed Nagito Komaeda was none other then the cat-boy-thingy, Johannes!" Monokuma announced. I looked down, a shadow casting over my eyes. Sure, we got the vote right, and now everyone will live. But then....why do I feel like we still lost? 

"Johannes, you damn bastard, what the hell is wrong with you?! Why would you do that to Nagito?!" Rin said. 

".....sorry. But it was like you guys said before, Nagito wasn't my target." Johannes said. Crona rubbed his arm, looking away. "I-I was your target, r-right? You were the one that gave me that note." he said. Johannes's frown seemed to only deepen.

"You looked like the easiest to pick on. Sorry kid...." he said. 

"Dammit, that's not the point. The fact that you planned to kill anyone is low! How could you?! Do you want out of here that badly?!" Ulric snapped. 

"....why?" 

Everyone looked over at me. I held my hands close to my chest, looking up at Johannes with teary eyes. "Why? What caused you to do something like this? I don't understand why anyone would do something like this. So what pushed you into killing Nagito?! I need to know! I need to understand!" I said. 

"Violet-san...." Rena murmured, giving my a concerned expression. Johannes looked taken aback, speechless. However he looked away in shame, letting his hat cover half of his face. 

"Pufufufufu, awwww! This is soooo sad! Poor Nagito! Oh why, oh why did Johannes kill him? You could only wonder huh. Well....maybe it had something to do with the video I showed him~" Monokuma said. 

"Huh? Video? .....gah! The motive video!" Junko said. My eyes widened. That's right, we were each given a motive video. What...what was on Johannes's video? 

"Guess I'll go ahead and show you guys his video. Maybe that'll answer some questions." Monokuma said. The TV screen behind him suddenly turned on, and Monokuma appeared on the screen.
