Kokichi was suddenly silent, his expression unreadable. Everyone stared at him, awaiting his response, but he never gave one. Eventually Ulric spoke up.

"Hey, you better answer, kid." he said. Kokichi put on a wide grin, chuckling. "Nee-heehee, oh man. Did I screw up big time. Well, guess there's no hiding it now." he replied. "Hiding what?" Mello said.

"I totally saw Violet leave the dining hall last night." Kokichi replied. "What?! You saw her?!" Johannes said. "Yep. Right after Nagito left the dining hall, Violet left at 8:53 pm and went straight to her dorm." Kokichi replied.

"What the- why the hell didn't you mention this sooner?! She was in a pretty bad spot till you said that?! If you knew you saw her, why not tell us at the beginning?! She wouldn't have been on the suspect list in the first place!" Rin snarled.

"Well, I definitely didn't mention it to make the trial more interesting~" Kokichi chirped, looking away innocently.

"More interesting?! You bastard, our lives are on the line! How could you pull something like that?!" Zack snapped. "Whatever, doesn't matter. Point is, Violet is innocent or whatever." Kokichi said.

"Perhaps....but that makes me wonder where that puts you, Kokichi." Near said. Kokichi looked at him puzzled, so Near further explained. "If you did see Violet last night, that means you were one of the few that was roaming around the academy last night. Meaning that after you saw Violet return to her dorm....you could've went straight to the gym, where Nagito was." Near said. I looked to Kokichi in surprise. Did he really do it? Did he kill Nagito?

"Nee-heehee, wow, that's a good theory mister detective! I'm impressed, even I didn't think of that. However, I can't take credit for Nagito's murder." Kokichi replied smoothly.

"Oh? Why not?" Amaimon asked. "Simple, as you guys said, someone had to know what a bey was in order to use it as a weapon. But I didn't come from a universe like that. To me, that would've looked like any other spinning top." Kokichi replied.

"Tch, and how are we supposed to know if that isn't just another one of your damn lies?!" Zack snapped. Kokichi looked up, placing a finger on his chin.

"Huh, I guess you can't tell. Oh well, you're just gonna have to take my word for it." Kokichi said. "That's a load of bullshit! He has to be lying, isn't he?!" Rin snapped. "Yeah! Considering what we know about that little pest, who else could the culprit be?!" Ulric snapped. I frowned, looking down. Kokichi certainly seems suspicious now, but....something isn't right. I'm not sure why, but I don't feel like he can be the culprit. Maybe this was that gut feeling Magane and Ulric were talking about. But, how can we prove it wasn't him? Let's see....

Wait, there is evidence that it wasn't him!

"No wait! There's evidence that proves he's not guilty!" I stated. Magane looked at me surprised. "Ehhh? You're gonna defend the guy who put you in the hot seat? Didn't see that coming." she said.

"He said it himself in the beginning of the killing game, remember? He said he was from the same universe as this one, where he had to be in a killing game. He told us what it was, and even said he remembered Junko being dead in his timeline." I said.

"But he could've just lied about that?" Rena said. "How can he already know what a killing game was when Monokuma didn't even get a chance to explain himself. Monokuma even got mad about him stealing his attention, remember?" I said. Monokuma pouted, crossing his arms across his chest.

"I certainly remember that." he muttered bitterly.

"Oh yeah, you did say that, didn't you?" Junko said. Kokichi chuckled and nodded. "Yep! I did! Good to see that someone was paying attention!" he said.
