My face grew pale, and I covered my mouth with my hand. All I could do was stare at Mello's lifeless body. It was bad enough to ever discover someone's corpse, but....to actually watch them take their last breath, and to see the light of life fade away from their eyes....it was an all new feeling of horror and despair.

"Masaka....h-he's...." Magane stuttered, covering her mouth with both hands. Kanato clenched down on his teeth as a shadow cast over his eyes.

"He's dead." he said.

Almost on cue, a 'ding dong' sound rang out in the academy. "Attention students! Another body has been discovered! Kindly make your way to the fourth floor, and towards the special hallway." Monokuma called over the speakers. I clenched my fists tightly, and slammed one into the floor. Another friend lost. Another friend murdered. And now....another class trial is to come, with the promise of finding another traitor among us.

The five of us just stayed where we were, surrounding Mello's body. Soon though, I could hear the sound of footsteps behind us. "Guys, we heard the announcement. What the hell is that bear talking about?!" Ulric demanded. "Yeah, who got ripped this time?" Kokichi asked. "Where is Mello...." Near immediately went silent upon coming closer, seeing Mello's body.

"I-I-It's Mello....h-he's...." Crona stuttered out. He didn't need to finish though. Everyone understood. Ulric growled, clenching his fists tightly.

"God dammit....another one of us was killed. Grrrgh, fuck!" he snarled, whirling around to the nearest wall and punching right into it, creating a large crack into it. My eyes widened, and I stood up. "Ulric, don't do that! There's a regulation about damaging school property, remember?" I said. The last thing I wanted was for him to get punished.

"She's right, you mustn't lose control of your emotions." Kanato stated. "Oh my, we have quite the crowd," I looked down the hall, seeing Monokuma coming this way, "so Mello was the next to go, huh? Makes sense, he was a bit of a hot head lately." he replied. He looked to the crack Ulric had made.

"Uh oh, did someone damage my wall? You guys know better than that. Fess up, who did it?" Monokuma said. Ulric glared at the bear, bearing his teeth and growling. "Go screw yourself, asshole." he growled. "Hey! Respect your elders, mister. Tsk tsk tsk, judging by those bruised knuckles, I assume you're responsible for the wall?" Monokuma said. My eyes widened. Before I could stop myself, I stood in front of Ulric protectively, arms out.

"W-Wait, Monokuma! I-I can explain!" I quickly said. Ulric looked to me surprised.

"Pufufufu, what's there to explain? I'm gonna take a wild guess here; fur ball here got mad because 'oh no, another friend is killed' and he punched the wall in anger. Sound about right to you, toots?" Monokuma asked. I swallowed nervously. Yes, that's exactly what happened. But if I admit that, will he hurt Ulric? I can't let that happen. For God's sake we just lost Mello! My train of thought was interrupted as Ulric placed a hand on my shoulder and gently pushed me aside.

"Yeah, that's what happened. You wanna punish me, fine. I can take it." he stated. I looked to Ulric nervously. "Ulric, you can't!" I said.

"Pufufufufu, this is so much fun! Listen, I'm tempted to kill ya with every fiber in my robot body. But if I go around every person just because they broke the rules, then I'm killing off potential murderers and victims. And where's the fun in that? So, I'll tell ya what, I'll let you keep your life this time. And I'll deliver a different punishment for ya after today's class trial." Monokuma replied.

"What? Are you serious?" Ulric said, looking genuinely shocked. "But what if we can't discover the culprit, and we're all to be punished?" Kanato asked. "Oh simple. If you guys get killed cause you can't find the culprit, I'll let the culprit go home free.....and Ulric will stay down here with me for the rest of his life." Monokuma replied. We all looked at him shocked.
