The twelve of us went up to the second floor, coming upon a set of stairs that was being revealed beside the science lab. I watched I glanced up, hesitant to go up and see what laid up there. "Another floored has been opened up?" Rin said.
"Huh, could it be? Could it be? That whenever we solve a murder case, we get another floor revealed to us?" Magane said. "That seems to be the case. We only got access to the second floor after we solved Nagito's case." Near said.
"What the hell are we waiting for then? I wanna know what's up there!" Junko stated, walking towards the stairs. Magane followed right behind her.
"I do too!" she stated, and the two girls disappeared up the stairs.
"Wait! Shouldn't we go together?" Rin said. Ulric began go up the stairs. "Then we better stick together. Come on." he called back. Rin nodded and followed Ulric up. Near went up next, and from there everyone followed him to the third floor. I was hesitant to follow, but Lilac walked beside Kanato as the two of them went up the stairs, so I had no choice but to follow them so i could watch after her.
"Why does Lilac continue to follow Kanato? He always treats her disrespectfully, yet she continues to follow him around like some sort of puppy." I thought. I pushed the thought aside for the time being once I made it to the top of the third floor with everyone else. And what I saw....was not what I was expecting at all.
All walls were painted a light shade of pink, with baby blue carpeting on the floors. There were small purple stairs painted on the ceiling as well. In any other situation, this would've felt relaxing and maybe even kinda cute. But knowing this academy....it just felt bizarre and eerie.
"Uh, why does this place look like a nursery?" Kokichi said.
"How the hell am I supposed to know? Ugh, I don't this damn bear at all. Whats the point of designing a floor like this?" Mello said. "I'm not sure. It puzzles me as well. Despite how it looks, we should look around, see if we can find any clues or means of escape." Near replied.
"Okay, so we split up or something?" Junko asked. "Again...." Kokichi muttered in slight annoyance, letting out a sigh.
"I believe we should split up in four groups of three. There seem to be multiple rooms to look into, so we should investigate each one thoroughly." Near stated. I looked away, placing a hand on my arm. "....Lilac and I can investigate just fine by ourselves." I stated. That made everyone look at me surprised.
"Huh? Just you two? Are you sure?" he asked. "Yes, I am certain." I stated. Near narrowed his eyes, then turned to face me.
"Violet, I understand that since after the last trial, you would be suspicious of everyone here. Especially towards Kanato. However, if we are to escape this place, we have to work together to do so. We cannot afford to bare grudges or constantly suspect each other." Near stated. I turned my head away from him, clenching my fists. He can't seriously think that telling me this repetitive crap is gonna ease me in anyway. Like hell he would understand....
"You also should keep in mind of how we must all think." Near's words caught me off guard.
"What? What do you mean?" I asked. Near raised a hand to his hair and began to twirl a strand between his fingers as he spoke.
"Think about this, Violet. After seeing the way you threatened Kanato, seeing your true form....surely you didn't think we'd just push those thoughts away completely. Do you not think we have our own suspicions towards you?" he said. My eyes widened, and I looked around at the others. Most were giving the suspicious glares I was expecting to receive this morning, but a few turned their heads away.
