Beta! Hinanami: The Wedding

Dedicated to @ChiakiScarlet. This is the sequel to "Beta! Hinanami: The Proposal". If you haven't read that yet, please do. May I say this...I <3 the picture I used for this chapter. It is SO adorable. Ahem...anywho, I hope you enjoy the Wedding.

The sun rose over the horizon, bringing in a new day. The birds were chirping sweet harmonies and a gentle breeze danced the cherry blossom petals off the ground. Days like these are always perfect for weddings.

Chiaki got up that morning, nervous but excited. Her heart was aching to the point that it could explode.

'After this...I'll be Mrs. Chiaki Hinata...' She thought about it. It was a little odd, but it would take some getting used to. Hajime did say that she could keep her maiden name, but she refused.

She heard a knock on the door and soon Ibuki, one of the bridesmaids, came in. "Good morning, pretty bride!"

"God, Ibuki. You're extra hyper this morning." Peko winced as she covered her ears. Soon, Mikan, Mahiru and Hiyoko followed suit. Each one was holding their dresses in their arms.

"Alright, everyone. Get things sorted in here while I take Chiaki to get some breakfast." Sonia, as maid of honour, announced. Chiaki yawned as she put on her housecoat and followed the Ultimate Princess downstairs.

Everyone who was part of the bridal and groom party all stayed at a hotel which was close to their venue. They stayed in separate floors to avoid the bride and groom from seeing each other. 'It is tradition, otherwise you'll get bad luck.'

Chiaki and Sonia entered the cafe on the lobby. Immediately, the bride poured herself some cereal and some juice. Sonia grabbed herself a seat at a nearby table. Opening her planner, she began to check off her list. Chiaki joined her and just listened to Sonia, or at least she tried to. All she could think about was the moment when she walks down the aisle. What if something bad happens? What if Hajime gets cold feet?

"Chiaki!" Sonia's voice broke through her negative thoughts. She looked up to the blonde and her innocent eyes. "Please don't worry yourself...you shouldn't be stressed on your wedding day."

"Oh...of course." Chiaki chuckled nervously.

Sonia could still see the doubt in her expression. "Listen. Remember how he proposed to you almost a year ago? He was almost pulling his hair out because he wanted it to be perfect."

Chiaki remembered being in the photobooth looking down as Hajime got on one knee. His face was red and he was sweating. He was so scared that he couldn't even say the words right. She smiled at the happy memory.

"He loves you, Chiaki. He put his heart into everything he does for you and I know you do the same." Sonia reassured her. "You both need to just relax. You both trust each other."

Chiaki nodded. "Yeah... we do. Must be the jitters, I guess."

Sonia laughed. "It will happen to anyone who is about to take the biggest change in their life. Hey, you survived a killing game, right? This should be a piece of cake."

Hours of tedious dress fitting, make up, and waiting later, the time finally came. Family and friends sat in the rows smiling as the bridesmaids walked arm in arm with their respective groomsmen. Nagito and Sonia were the last to walk down the aisle as they both noticed Hajime messing with his beige tie.

"Still nervous as ever, huh?" Sonia muttered under her breath.

"Yeah." Nagito groaned back. "I had to give him sleeping pills last night because he couldn't stop worrying."

"Let's get through this and then we'll confront that."

As they separated, Nagito whispered something into Hajime's ear, trying to calm him down. Just then, Here Comes the Bride began to play and everyone stood up. They gasped in awe as Chiaki walked down with Makoto Naegi. He offered to take the spot since Chiaki's father died a long time ago.

Hajime choked on his tears as he saw how beautiful she was. Light pink blush highlighted her cheeks and lip gloss on her lips. Even though her face was covered by the veil, her eyes were bright and full of life. She blushed and smiled as she caught his glance.

Makoto gave Chiaki's hands to Hajime and then patted his back. He returned to his seat to his wife, Kyoko as the two lovebirds reached the altar.

"Do you, Hajime Hinata, take this woman to be your wife? To love and to cherish? For richer or for poor? In sickness and in health? Until death do you part?"

"I-I...I do." Hajime stuttered, causing some few scattered laughs in the crowd.

"Chaiki? Do you take this man to be your husband?"

She smiled and replied, "I will...always."

The official nodded. "I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride."

Hajime lifted her veil without any hesitation and kissed her gently. The crowd roared in excitement as they deepened the kiss. All the worry and anxiety melted away as the bells rang throughout. Sakura petals were thrown up into the sky as Hajime and Chiki walked back up the aisle.

The reception was beautiful from the decorations, the corny toasts, the dances and games, to the wedding cake. Chiaki pushed Hajime's face into his slice, making everyone laugh. As for the flower toss, Hiyoko caught it, much to everyone's surprise.

As the newlywed couple had their slow dance, everyone found a partner and joined in.

"This has been the best day of my life." Chiaki said in his ear.

"I couldn't agree more, but...just wait until the honeymoon." Hajime teased while nibbling on her earlobe. Chiaki blushed and punched him in the chest.

As the night drew to a close, everyone gathered as the couple headed into their limo. Tears were falling down Chiaki's cheeks as she waved goodbye to her friends and loved ones. Hajime waved behind her while kissing her on the head. Soon, they were off to their honeymoon and to the rest of their lives.
