December 23rd

There were three more days until Christmas and it was excitingly stressful. Chiaki Nanami was ready to make her first Christmas with her boyfriends the best one yet. Hajime Hinata hasn't had a Christmas in a long time ever since his childhood. Nagito Komaeda grew up never knowing it existed.

"I already got the decorations out of storage so we are going to decorate the tree tonight!" Chiaki announced with a smile as she began cutting her gingerbread cookies with the moulds.

"Hard to believe that you kept most of your family's old stuff." Nagito said, glancing over her shoulder. "Don't you think that we should get our own?"

"Maybe...but I just want make sure that it was okay with you first." She replied. "This is your first Christmas after all. I don't wanna over do it."

Nagito chuckled and kissed Chiaki on the cheek. "You are too good for me, you know that?"

"What about me? Am I chopped liver?" Hajime laughed, leaning against a wall. Nagito groaned as he walked around Chiaki and got his coat from the closet.

"Yeah, yeah. It's our turn to go gift shopping. No need to whine about it." Nagito said, nudging his comrade.

"So...am I chopped liver?" Hajime asked as the two men exited then apartment. Chiaki giggled at Hajime's antics. Nagito can be too serious at times, but that didn't stop Hajime from pushing his buttons.

Placing her newly cut gingerbread men in the oven, Chiaki went over to the living room and opened a dresser drawer. She pulled out her presents for the boys: a new book for Nagito and a new sweater for Hajime. Placing them on the kitchen table, she ran and turned on the radio. Light Christmas music began to play as she began to hum along. Laying the wrapping paper down beside the presents, her cell phone rang.

"Hello?" She answered cheerfully.

"Merry Christmas, Chiaki!" Her friend, Kishiko, answered on the other line. "You seem extra cheerful today."

"Aren't you?" Chiaki giggled. "I mean, don't tell me Rantaro hasn't asked you out yet?"

"Save that for Valentine's Day. Besdies, he's too busy with his class, spending Christmas skiing somewhere north of here. Luckily, Mikan and Ibuki invited me over to spend the holidays, so there's a plus. My parents aren't really 'holiday oriented'."

"Sorry about that. I know Nagito has never had a Christmas before." Chiaki replied, grabbing Hajime's gift and placing it on top of some wrapping paper. "Do you think I am overdoing it?"

"Nah. It's about time he had some sort of Christmas spirit." Kishiko said. "Anyways, gotta go. I think Mikan is burning supper. I'll see you later." She hung up immediately after that.

Meanwhile, Hajime and Nagito had just arrived at the mall after waiting in traffic for a good chunk of time.

"You know, it begs the question why we even have a car." Nagito groaned as he stretched out his back.

"Who cares? We made it, didn't we?" Hajime asked nonchalantly. He didn't care enough, but was more focused on his shopping. When they entered the mall, they stared at the mall map.
