Chapter 35 'School'

*Hailey's POV*

So now were back in school and its october, my school starts late and my parents got home awhile ago so i no longer live in Hayes's house, but we still always hang out, i got really close to ally because shes in most of the classes with me. I had volleyball tryouts and got in, Jordan still looks really jealous when i'm with Hayes but i ignore it, Hayes became really close friends with this really pretty girl named Madi, Madi Burton to be exact and shes cool, we just never really talk. Anyways school is kinda annoying because every one wants to be with Hayes and everyone asks me about him or shawn or stuff and as for lindsey, shes doing good, Nash has vistited a few times for her but i can tell she really misses him going to school, this must really suck for her. So tonight i have volleyball till 6 and hayes has football (I know usually schools do semester or not full year and i also know hayes does lax but im going to pretend both of them have all year teams) and lindseys going home with like 2 other peope for a school project at our house but she said they would leave by 8. 

So the final bell just rang and I went to my locker which Hayes meets me at whenever he can so he was there and we said goodbye and headed to our sports. I went to the gym and started to practice digs. 

*Hayes POV*

I headed to football and i'm really upset because wver since school started i've been kinda distant from Hailey, we don't get to spend as much time together bc of school and then we have homework. I still like her a lot and it's hard knowing i can't ask her out but i feel like if she was my girlfriend we could be closer and idk but i've gotten really close to this girl, madi. She's pretty but just a friend and ally and jake are still dating, just not as close.

After football practice i was so sweaty and tired but we had a little huddle and then i ran to the gym to wait for Hailey outside. All the girls came out.... even jordan, i avoided her and she avoided me then Hailey came out looking really tired, "hey" she said smiling but out of breath

"hey, tired much" i said laughing

"how'd you know" she asked

"um, you look tired..." i said not realizing it was sarcasm before

"well you dont look too hot either" she said in the cute pouty face

"no its cute" i said not knowing what else to say

i went in for a hug bc she wouldnt stop the pouty face and she stuck her hand out, "asfter you shower" she laughed

"theres that smile" i said and grabbed her gym bag and handed it to her and we walked home

*Hailey's POV*

I walked to my house and Hayes decided to come with, he just had to check in with his mom and he promised he would do homework right after we called nash so we walkde over to my hose and i opened the foor and lindsey was there with 2 people and they had popcorn and like each one of them were like typing on their laptops. "hey linds" i said waiting for a hu back

"hey hail" she looked up "oh and hayes" she said with a smile

lindsey hasn't been the same ever since she left L.A and Nash, everytime hayes comes over, it's almost as if shes jealious sad, like she remembers Nash and shes not jealous of me and hayes she obviously just misses Nash and she also barely goes over to the Griers anymore, she only goes over for sky and it's not like shes depressed, just sad  and i'm sure Hayes realizes it too

So we headed up stairs and i checked my phone and texted everyone back and then we got the  ipad to facetime Nash and he picked up and he was in his room with the jacks, "hey" he said, same as linsey when he looks at me he remebers her and gets all stiff or something, we call nash all the time. "hey" hayes and i said in unison, 

"whats up, i miss you guys" he said smiling

"same" i said, "hows cam" i continued

"annoying" he said laughing

"as usual" i joined in, hayes just kinda was there but he talked with Nash later, "so hows linds" he said changing his smile kinda fake

"she misses you" i said

"hasn''t found a better guy" he said

"stop nash..." i said rolling my eyes

then suddenly the jacks runin and sceram "kiss" at me and hayes which made everything kinda awkwad and even Nash was siiting there thinking about something..... probably LIndsey, i felt bad

so the convo went on and then we hung up

"are you thinking what im thinking" i looked at Hayes

"if it's about Nash and LInds, thenn yes" he looked at me

"i feel bad" i said 

"me too" he said sighing

"I mean we could try to get nash over here" i suggested

"but how" he said

"wait" i said getting my phone

i texted Nash 'nash lindsey misses you a lot and i was wondering when you could come over' 

he replied immediatly 'that's sweet but i have work'

'NASH WHATS MORE IMPORTANT, YOUR GIRLFRIEND OR YOUR WORK' i said

'ill think about it' he said

so hayes and i did my homework and he left and i ate dinner with lindsey and i talked about Nash and she gets all stiff too, almost as if theyre trying to hide their emotions, I NEED NASH TO COME

but anyways the next day i woke up and put on a black tanktop and a white sweater with big holes in it and then my jeans and black converse, i put my hair in a side braid bc lazyness and then some chapstick on and my usual thin eyeliner. then i went outside and hayes was waiting outside as usal, as we were walking towards starbucks i realized i never fully appreciated how much Hayes waits for me and how much he uust in general is so sweet to me and so i randomly put my arm around him and kissed his cheek and he got all red which is also adorable, "what was that for" he said and i realized i just kida did that randomly but i replied with, "your just so sweet, you wait in front of the door for me and you run from practice and just i never relized how amazing you are" i said making him turn redder, "well i love you" he said and i just awwed so then we got starbucks and headed to school and we met up with ally and jake who walk to school together every morning as well, lindsey has a late class bc she has free period for first period so she gets up late and she usually walks with her friend Katy

something about hayes was different today though, as if he was hiding something from me....

i'm going to start updating now, i kinda just pushed my fanfic back bc i felt like noone was reading it and i came back on with 4.8k reads so i just want to thank you guys so much for that and i promise i'll start updating more :)
