We all looked at each other and stood at door waiting for something to happen.
Claire looked at all of us with a knowing smirk.
She waved at everyone moving towards the exit.
We all followed her silently taking her lead. Even Andrew.
We weaved through so much of halls which I stopped counting. It's not like Iam gonna come here again anyway.
Amy grumbled about being hungry.Oh don't we all. I rubbed my stomach trying to ease my hunger pain. We stopped near the end of the hall and faced the door which will leads us to freedom.

I rocked on my heels feeling both excited and nervous.
Jack turned the lock opening it with a groan and squeak. We all froze waiting for something to happen. But only thing we can feel is streaming sunlight and screeching birds.
It's felt so refreshing it make me want to bawl my eyes out .

I pushed Jack gently signalling him to move. He turned around with a tight lips and looked at us.

"Anything can happen from here. I want you guys to be close and careful" Jack instructed stepping out.

We all piled out in frenzy to leave the cursed place.
The door closed locking it from inside. We all surrounded by trees which is bare and dead. It is summer what do we expect..

We can see the building where we stayed from here through the dead trees.
And some dilapidated building nearby.

" We can just leave this place without anyone notice. There is no need to cross Damon and the people "I said looking at the road across the dilapidated building.

"What if he tries to search and manage to get us? "Ethan said looking at the retched building.

"Well then we should move faster"Andrew said moving towards the road.To reach it we should cross land of dried grass and some small houses here and there.

It looks pretty distant but it's the way.. Only way.

We realized it and started to drag our tired self towards our destination.
The hot here in unbearable.It feels like roasting slowly. I shrugged my top leaving me in crop top. I tore it and drenched it with some water and tied it around my head and another to Jac.

She tried to remove it but with my warning stare she stopped it.
I watched in some survival videos to lessen the heat it would help.
I encouraged others to do it.
Claire just refused saying she doesn't need one.

She doesn't look that much tired or miserable like us anyway.
We trudged towards the road slowly but the fear of getting attacked at our vulnerable tired self made us to move little bit faster.

I looked around watching some buildings.Maybe we can get some food there.

But all seems empty by its open doors like someone scavenged it already.
After crossing some buildings I felt more frustrated. We are becoming more hungry and tired.

" Iam hungry "Claire said looking at certain direction.

"Me too"Jac said rubbing her stomach.

Jade just looked at her copycat under her lashes and looked away.

" There is a small store "Claire pointed out making us stop.

Oh then food for us.

Without discussing we know we have to move towards the building.
I picked Jac up when she swayed lightly. Poor baby.

Jack offered to carry Jade who gave a small smile.
Ethan pulled Jac away from me for her dismay. She pouted but settled on his shoulder.

Thank God.

I nodded at Ethan giving small smile.
Claire walked briskly towards the store and stopped before it.
You know it's our lucky day.
