We started to stock the things in the new truck. Mostly it's me Julie Amy anyway. As guys and Teena are checking the condition for last time. We don't want it to stop in middle of somewhere.
I shuddered on thinking about getting stranded in no where.
After they are satisfied with everything they helped us to stuff our findings.
We woke up even before the sun started to rise. So we just finished everything so early. We decided to eat while travelling itself. Jade and Jac is still sleeping oblivious to the world.
Issac spread some mattress on the back of truck tightly so that we can sleep if we need. Ethan picked the girls carefully placing them in the back. Jack agreed to drive first so who wished to rest all clambered at the back.
I decided to sit near Jack at the front as I agreed to drive second shift. As per the map it will take about half day to reach the workshop. I fetched the map from Andrew backpack who is snoring at the back. Lazy butt.
I smacked his head making him grumble about me being BITCH. I pinched him for that. He swatted my arm hardly making me flinch.
" Seriously!! " Julie grumbled about disturbing her slumber.
I stick my tongue at her moving to the front where Jack and Ethan checked outside for any lingering Zombies.
I joined them looking through the gap.

It's still early. I checked my wrist watch at its 5:30 Am. Pretty early for me actually. Sleep is my drug.Iam addicted to it but after Apocalypse everything changed I felt alert all time making it difficult to sleep. I yawned looking at eerily quiet street. Garbage are strewn across the street. Papers fluttered here and there like they are scavenging for something. Bloody tracks of dragging someone on the next door made me realise again the seriousness of the situation. It could simply become us. Even though it's early temperature is high here making us sweat already. Summer just started but I can already feel the situations we are going to face.
I sighed and watched the street for sometime.

We convinced it is good Ethan and Jack opened the shutter which let out a horrible creaks screeches. I shut my ears gritting my teeth. Iam sensitive to this kind of sounds. I shuddered moving towards the truck.
" We should move immediately. May be we have alerted somethings our presence " Jack said pointing towards the lone zombie ambling towards us grunting.

" Come on move" Ethan said making us jog towards the truck.
After locking all doors Jack started the truck maneuvering smoothly as much as possible. We crossed some narrow streets which is quiet challenging for our monster truck.
We reached the main road after ten minutes.
The road stretched out before us laying out so much of possibilities for our so called future.
Ethan slided on the back seat releasing a relieved sigh.
To reach the workshop it's just straight route which is another relief.
I pulled some bread and tinned fruits sharing it with Jack.Ethan refused saying he is sleepy will have it later.
The gap to connect with back trailer opened showing us the sleepy face of Amy.

" Are we on road already ? " She asked rubbing her eyes.

" Yeah . Is it really cosy back there? " I asked peering through the gap which revealed sprawled form of Andrew and Girls.

" I could use some sleep anyways " I said letting out a yawn.

" I can't promise but it's better than nothing. Come sleep for sometime. " Amy said closing the gap.
Jack stopped near the door to relieve himself and I opened the door sliding in the back door entering it.
I closed and locked it thoroughly.  Kicking Andrew away I dumped myself heavily on the bed.
I realised how much tired I feel.
Jack said something but I already into some LaLa land already. I felt lips on my lips making me sigh.
It must be Jack.
Then I fell into dark abyss.
I felt someone shake me awake making me grumble.

" Merlin get up you lazy ass " Someone groaned making me roll over and open my eyes groggily.
World is blurred making me shake my head slowly making me feel dizzy.
Shit.
I stumbled around finally awake.

" God you got some serious sleep issues there baby? " Jack said making me scowl at him.
I flipped him taking in the new surrounding.
" We arrived at the workshop .Its already noon you should have some food " Jack said handing me water bottle.
I thanked him sliding out of the truck
Stretching my limbs I groaned feeling good after sometime.
I sipped water looking around. It's really big workshop.
All doors and windows are locked . It's all big hall which are scattered with tools and things I don't have clue.
Some sunlight streamed through gap with dust fluttering in it.
Birds screeched outside which relaxed me.
Truck is stationed near the main workshop where water dripped through the pipe connected to a long hose.
"You should have awaken me" I said feeling guilty for not helping.

" We are not doing favors here Merlin. We care about each other .we are family. so don't worry about it and now you are awake you can help now " Ethan said patting my shoulder.

" Family?!  ...I like it" I said with a wide grin.
Julie chuckled dragging me towards stall separated by cardboard wall.

" We figured as we need to remodel our truck it's better to stay here for a week " Teena said handing me a steaming bowl. I inhaled the aroma deeply.

" Woah!! " I exclaimed devouring the soup.
Amy chuckled along with Jac who is looking at me amused.
I checked for Claire.
" Where is Claire? " I asked searching for her.
She became another one of us much disappointment to Amy. We don't mind much especially Jac.

" She said there is something that need to take care and gone for about half and hour " Julie said slurping the soup.
Mmmmm.
" She knows more than us" Teena said in a daze.
That's true. It's like a genius wrapped in a child's body. She knows where to go what to do.
As long as she doesn't try to kill us everything is good. I remembered the way she killed Benjamin and those creepy smiles. I shook my head finishing my soup.

Everyone decided to search for something useful in here. Well for me there is nothing useful for me but boys it's a gold mine. They gone to play with it along with Teena who already start to plan the remodelling.
I wandered off around the backyard of the building structure which is secured enough to relax. The structure itself surrounded by 36 feet high wall. The garden at the back filled with some creepers and bushes which became home for some rodents and birds.
I shuddered on seeing those hairy creatures . What would they think about us?  Two legged demons??  Ha ha.
I rolled my eyes at my very mature thoughts..
I screamed when I heard something jump behind my back. My horrific scream echoed through the building.
There stood Claire drenched in blood and gore.

" Calm down. It's just me and I got a present" She said  giving me those creepy smiles.

" MERLIN?! " I heard everyone rush towards me but I can't take my eyes from her. She had something in her hand which she kept behind her back.
I pointed towards Claire who is looking at everyone curiously.
Chorus of gasp and curses flew around us.
" Claire.... Wh--what " Ethan stuttered backing away slightly.

" Everyone are afraid of me. " She mumbled to herself.

" But... But I got gift for everyone " She said again.

Jade and Jac tried to sneak peek at Claire but Julie ushered them inside.

" What is it Claire? " Jack asked looking at her warily.

She held her hand Infront of us with grin. Amy gasped fainting in the spot.

" Is that a head? " Isaac stuttered looking at the head with blood dripping from it.

" Yeah Damon's head " Claire grinned giddily shaking the head.

Julie and Teena dragged Amy inside who looked nauseated enough to throw up. God what the hell is this?!
Jack cursed under his breathe looking at the deranged Claire.

We all stood gaping at pouting Claire.
