Life is happy.
Life is sad.
There are two side of a story.
Yet only one side is heard.
Norman's life is dull and plain, that's why when he excels, he is distinctly recognized.
Ray's life is dark and cursed, that's why when life gets harder and grimness takes over, he shines alone yet brighter than any other.
Two different person with different truths and various lies, sharing the same dorm room and same gloomy night.
Neither of them knowing what is really wrong or what is actually right.
The two of them are second year highschoolers, both too smart for other students to overcome.
Both with unequal knowledge and diligence.
Smart and clever.
Logical and reasonable.
'The ceiling is plain'
Norman thought, he is laying on the bed, eyes open and numerous thought racing on his head.
A gray clock is ticking loudly, it's long finger passing through each number laggardly---or so Norman thought since it doesn't seem to pull him away from his thoughts..
It's already past twelve and sleep is nowhere to be seen, looks like it doesn't intend to claim him this night too.
Norman isn't an Insomniac but he couldn't sleep tonight.
He just hope morning come faster. He just wanted to do something and divert his attention. Something he can do and be satisfy with.
But the time is being slow.

Ray sighed before he chugged a cup of milk down, Norman forbade him from drinking coffee to avoid caffeine overdose.
Norman walked inside the kitchen, slight, yet not prominent dark bags around his blue eyes.
Ray hummed in recognition.
"Didn't sleep?"
"Yeah."
Ray finishes the milk and walks over the sink, Norman settled himself with milk and bread.
The second semester is starting and life couldn't get any more boring, can it?

Gracefield High is one of the most prestigious highschool all over japan.
Getting enrolled would be impossible if you weren't an honor student, with high IQ, intelligence, up-most diligence, and specialized skills or talent.
Yet, it wouldn't matter if you are poor, all you need is brain and let brain make the money.
So long as your IQ is not lower than 100, one should do just fine.
Ray and Norman stood out the most.
Norman always comes in first place in every ranking that involves intelligence, critical analysis and complex mind set.
Ray on the second and the only being among all the other students that actually had a chance of possibly outwitting Norman.
