It's been a while since i last updated and i have connection issues with wattpad. I'm becoming rusty with my writing skills Lmao.

Demons are big brutes with supernatural strength and large jaws with razor sharp canines along with dripping saliva, these creatures are scary but nothing scared Norman more than seeing Emma succumb into spiralling insanity. Ray stayed motionless, stunned by Emma's actions.

And they said chaos is loud.

They couldn't be farther from the truth.

Morning came, everyone looked like they came up from their deathbeds. Dark-purpulish bags hanging under their eyes, eyes flicking from emotionless to mortified.

"Good morning everyone!" Emma greeted, like how she used to back in Gracefield. Cheerful and bright.

The children flinched, biting back cries. They are torn between being happy to see Emma again and sad because of her experience.

Ayshe appeared from the door on the corner of the room, her eyes roamed then settled on Emma. The girl pulled a smile to her lips and greeted the orange head.

"Good morning Emma." Ayshe approached the girl and Emma happily hugged the girl.

Emma giggled, "Good morning Ayshe! Did you sleep well?" Emma blinked at Ayshe with eager eyes, like a puppy ready for a stick.

Ayshe nodded fondly, she wasn't best with social communications but with Emma, she felt like she could tell her the whole world and Emma would gladly listen.

Norman looked away, he could not bare to look at Emma and those mossy-dead eyes of her. Her eyes used to shine like sunlights on an early morning, sparkling and glowing as if it was a work of magic.

Look at it now, Norman bit his lower lip. Her eyes are dark, dead. Looking like life had been sucked out from it. It appeared shrunk too, ever so slightly but not anything Norman won't notice.

There was tug on his sleeves, he turned and saw Ray giving him a subtle sign of Follow me.

Norman watched Emma on the sidelines as he walked to Ray, it makes him physically ill to see Emma happy when she's not, acting alright when she went through hell. Norman knew life is never fair but damn it, this is just so messed up.

He must've done something for Ray to place a firm hand on his shoulder, his gaze burning coals against his ocean ones, as if screaming get a hold of yourself.

Norman drowned on the sound of Emma chattering idly while serving everyone and he heard Ray yell something akin to "We'll get the others!" Pretty much to say, Norman is out of it by the time him and Ray stepped into another room.

It felt so empty.

"I love her Ray," Norman hears himself say. He didn't mean to say it but he had to get this out of him.
"And it angers me to see her like this, it... It doesn't sit right me, everything about her seems off. Her voice is empty, her smile is too stretched. Ray, her eyes are soulless!"

Ray grunted infront of him, pouring a coffee on the center of the room. Ray proceeded to pick up his coffee and blew air to cool it off.

Norman sucked air and let out a broken noise.
