Limp and seemingly lifeless bodies were carried to another encampment.
From the place the family was captured, no trace of their footings could be seen.
As though they weren't there moments ago.
__________
Ray's eyes twitched, he groaned as he sat up. A blanket was over him and he felt kind of dizzy.
When Ray opened his eyes, the place was dim and the only source of light is lamp on a table. He shifted and realized he is lying on a soft material, looking down, He was sleeping on a bed.
Then it hit him.
Ray swang his head to scan his surroundings. Where are his siblings? Norman! He had to---
"Ray." a voice spoke and Ray froze, he turned and faced the albino boy who is sitting on a chair.
But that did not calmed Ray down, with his eyes wide in panic, he shoved the blanket off him and jumped out of the bed.
"Where are the children?!" he demanded.
"Ray, calm down." Norman said, he gestured for the raven boy to sit down.
"I see both of you are already awake." a cold voice spoke. Another light entered the room as the stranger stepped inside of the room. He was carrying a lamp.
"Calm down." The stranger said to the bewildered expression of Ray and nodded towards Norman.
It was the same stranger that grinned at Ray before he lost consciousness, how is he supposed to calm down? For all Ray care, the stranger could pull out a gun and kill them all, Ray can't have that now, he won't let such event to happen.
"I know what you are thinking but trust me, you all are safe here." The stranger placed the lamp he is holding on top on a cabinet, the room wasn't as dark as it formerly did.
"And how are we supposed to trust you?!" Ray growled and glared daggers, locking eye level with the stranger.
"When you are one of the culprits for kidnapping us and dragging us here-in-god-who-knows-where?!" He yelled.
The stranger was about the same height as the gracefield boys and looked like he is just around he same age as them too.
The stranger let out an exasperated sigh and put his hands over his head as he massaged his temples.
"Look here, we saved you. Nobody is kidnapped, your siblings are waiting for you outside. Listen to me for a moment and let me explain." The stranger huffed and stared at the duo.
Norman turned to Ray and Ray instinctly knew he had to shut up or things will go messier.
Norman faced the stranger again and nodded in agreement.
"Introduce yourself." he said.
"My name is Violet, I am from a farm just like the two of you."
"Where?"
"Grand Valley."
Black and blue hues stared back at the violet gaze of the stranger. Ray is on the edge of his stoic trance while Norman looked calm as ever, eyes watching every muscle of the stranger.
"And you my fellow escapees, are in B 06 - 32."

Heavy realization dawned at Ray, the room he is laid, actually looked decent. Book shelves on the corner, two beds, a table, closet and wooden drawers.
The air isn't cold.
Violet smiled at the duo, seeing that the raven head is taking time to calm down.
