Forty Nine

i looked at the test in my hand and smiled widely. i'm pregnant. oh my god im pregnant. i walked out of the bathroom and smiled at marisol.

Emily: i'm pregnant!
Marisol: oh my god yess!

she got off the bed and gave me a hug.

Marisol: when are you gonna tell carlos?
Emily: i don't know...should i do something special for it?
Marisol: oh my god yes
Emily: i should take him to the hill
Marisol: and put like candles and decorate the car
Emily: yesss come on let's go

we ran out of the house and grabbed the jeep. we drove to the nearest store and grabbed pillows. pink shear curtains. and a white duvet covers. we grabbed candles and a box where the test would fit.

we came back and we got ready to decorate the car. i replaced the old covers with the new ones. i put the pillows in the back of the car and hung the fairy lights. we grabbed the curtains and hung them up. i opened them and put my feet out of the car.

Emily: what do you think?
Marisol: it's great!

i smiled and grabbed the box. putting the test inside.

Emily: you can take care of amaya right?
Marisol: yeah sure
Emily: oh thanks, i love you thanks for always taking care of her
Marisol: i love you and i do it because i love her more

i rolled my eyes playfully and gave her a hug.

Emily: you're gonna need to take care of this baby tho
Marisol: my pleasure, you have the babies and i'll take care of them
Emily: works for me

she laughed and we both got back into the house, after locking the car.

*time skip*

i smiled happily as i drove up the hill.

Carlos: seriously what are you gonna tell me???
Emily: it's a surprise
Carlos: your bringing me to the hill it must be important
Emily: shhhh

he rolled his eyes and smiled. i stopped the car at the spot and turned around.

Emily: so you do remember this place?
Carlos: yeah how could i not? this is our place
Emily: awww
Carlos: we did it all the time here
Emily: wow, it's only special because of that?
Carlos: no it's special because the only thing that matters when we're here is both of us

i smiled wanting to cry. i got out of the car and waited for carlos to get out. i walked to the back and opened the door when carlos was with me. the pink curtains were a nice touch since the sun was going to in a few minutes.

Carlos: you decorated the jeep!
Emily: yeah
Carlos: should we try out these new covers?
Emily: oh god shut up carlosss
Carlos: im just askinggg
Emily: yeah ok

i sat down on the covers and patted next to me. carlos sat next to me. he looked confused but kept of smiling. carlos sat next to me and we looked at the beautiful view in front of us.

Emily: carlos?
Carlos: yes?

i grabbed the box and held it for a bit thinking about it for a moment.

Emily: i have a gift for you..
Carlos: what'd you buy me Em?
Emily: just open it

he smiled and grabbed the box, taking off the lid and just staring at what was inside.

Carlos: you're pregnant?!

he looked happy.

Emily: yeah i am
Carlos: amaya's gonna be a big sister!!
Emily: yeah she is

he smiled bright and hugged me making us both lay down on the covers. we just cuddled for a bit as the sun set down. and the pink and orange clouds left with the sun. it was now getting darker and darker.

Carlos: Em?
Emily: yes?
Carlos: can we make love?

i laughed and turned around to look at him. i sat up.

Emily: wait you're serious?
Carlos: yeah
Emily: yes baby

he sat up fast and pulled me in his arms and we both laughed as we fell back.
