i handed the test to Marisol and got on my bed.

Marisol: oh Emily..

she got on the bed with me and hugged me.

Emily: he's going to leave me
Marisol: no he won't, Carlos isn't like that
Emily: are you sure?
Marisol: yes Carlos is a really nice person
Emily: i'm scared

she wiped her tears and held me in her arms.

*time skip*

i waited for Carlos to come to the house. he wanted to watch netflix, eat some pizza, and cuddle.

i was wearing an oversized hoodie with some shorts under. i had my hair in a lose bun.

then the bell rang.

i sighed and walked to the door.

i faked a smile and opened the door.

Carlos: hey bebe
Emily: hey

he made a weird face but shrugged and gave me a kiss.

Carlos: ready for the show? i heard it's really good, and it's like Spanish too so that's cool
Emily: yeah sounds good
Carlos: you ok?
Emily: yeah i'm fine
Carlos: you sure?
Emily: yeah bebe, why?
Carlos: you seem kind of off

i shrugged and gave him a hug.

Emily: i'm fine

*time skip*

three episodes in the show and i'm hooked in. the show has to do with pregnancy too so i don't know what to focus on.

oh shit.

the pregnancy test.

i didn't put it away.

Carlos walked out of the bathroom shocked.

Carlos: Emily?
Emily: yes?
Carlos:...your pregnant?
Emily:...

he shook his head while tears rolled down.

i started crying when he started crying.

he was on the floor thinking while crying.

Carlos: i can't...i- i...

he got up and threw the test to me.

Carlos: let me think about things

i looked at him with watery eyes.

Emily: Carlos please, don't leave m-
Carlos: i have to think
Emily: Carlos come on, please don't, this is your baby...our baby

i got up and went to lift his face up.

Emily: Carlos

he looked at me with watery eyes.

Carlos: what are we going to do, Emily?
Emily: i don't know yet...but i know that i want this baby
Carlos: we messed up..
Emily: hey listen...this isn't the end of the world...we'll stick together..

Carlos nodded slowly.

Carlos: i love you
Emily: i love you
Carlos: im sorry i was about to leave i- i panicked
Emily: it's fine...i get it...its too much to handle..i don't know if i want to tell Alex about us...he said he wouldn't ever talk to me..and i don't want to loose him
Carlos: he's gonna beat me up

i covered my face with my hands. what am i gonna do now.

i sigh.

Emily: well...we're going to have to tell Alex...but we're going to tell our parents first..
Carlos: oh god

he covered his face and sighed.

*at dinner*

mom: you're what?!
areli: pregnant? what? how?

carlos chocked on his drink and started coughing.

areli: oh my god carlos, i'm not asking how- forget it
mom: you guys are too young for a baby
Emily: i'm not getting rid of it, i can take care of a baby, i might be young but im ready for what's coming and there's no way back

my mom started crying. also Araceli started crying.

mom: i cant believe my baby is gonna have a baby

my dad was secretly crying.

my mom stood up and hugged me and carlos.

mom: i know this was not the right move, but i'll support you guys in whatever choice you guys make, but can you guys please keep it?

we all started laughing.

Emily: is that even a question?
