Carlos and I had decided to not tell anyone about our engagement. The night after I saw Alex, he got mad and wanted to know where I had been. I told him and he didn't really get mad about the Alex part. He got mad that Jabez was there. I don't know why. We got into this huge argument and he ended up sleeping on the sofa.
I woke up to a lonely bed. His side of the bed was really cold. I hate arguing with him. I groaned and got up. Amaya was sleeping so I had time to fix things. Well I mean I didn't really do anything.
I walk to the sofa and look as he sleeps. He looks so angelic. I'm really in love with him.
Carlos: what do you want?
I sigh and sit on the floor. I reach for his hand but he turns the other way.
Emily: Carlos, seriously? Carlos: go away Emily: Carlos I didn't do anything, Alex needed my help Carlos: I'm not mad about that Emily: then why you mad? Carlos: you know why
He got up when he said that. Basketball shorts were all he had on. He spoken up and I got scared that Amaya might wake up.
Emily: hey, quiet down
I get up and try to calm him down.
Carlos: Em you're mine and I know what he wanna do Emily: I didn't even talk to him much Carlos: don't even tell me that you talked to him
He starts walking away.
Emily: Carlos Carlos: WHAT?
He kind of pushed me when he said that. He screamed in my face. I've never seen him like this. I don't think he meant to push me. But I felt back. I felt the tears falling as I was really scared of what he was gonna do next. I see his expression change as he sees me crying.
Carlos: I'm sorry Em-
I get up and go get Amaya since I could hear her crying. Carlos is running behind me.
I carry Amaya as I try to calm her down.
Emily: don't cry baby
I can see Carlos is sad. I turn around and face the wall.
Carlos: Em I didnt mean to- Emily: it's fine
I hear him sigh and he walks away.
Emily: you excited baby!?
I look at Amaya and she's stopped crying.
Emily: you're going to the farm with your cousin! come on let's get you dressed.
Amaya was getting really big now. I decided to choice a black pair of biker shorts. A cute little grey t-shirt. I put her hair up into a ponytail.
Emily: I love you maya Amaya: wuv youuu Emily: I wuv youuu
We both laughed and I gave her a kiss. We walked downstairs and waited for Carmen to take her to the farm. I gave Amaya a big hug and acted happy with Carlos around Carmen. He put his arm around my waist. I smiled and waved as they're car left. I walked away from Carlos and rushed to get in the house.
Carlos: Em
I ignored him.
Carlos: Emily-
He grabbed my wrist and lightly pulled me in his embrace.
Carlos: im sorry baby...
I look down as I was still mad at him.
Carlos: can you please forgive me?
He looks down at me and leans in to kiss me. I can't help but kiss back.
Emily: you still owe me Carlos: ok, how about date night? Emily: I would love that
I smile as I hug him. He rests his chin on my head.
