Look away,
I'm not a pleasant sight to see,
I'm lying here sickly and pale,
Back away,
I'm contaminated, don't you see?
I'm a hazard and I can't be contained,
It's better if we stay apart,
I'll fade away,
While you go on,I'm not in my best state,
I hardly look alive,
My lips aren't red anymore,
And my skin has all but faded,
My hair unkempt,
Don't look so disgusted,
I'm still here beneath the scars.I'm counting the days left,
It's drawing closer,
Stalking me just outside
Of my vision,
I'm backing away from it all,
But I'm approaching a corner,
I can't go on,Are you saying
Goodbye so soon?
I just need to know.
This is so hard for me
To have to let you go.Slipping between,
Life and death, can't you see?
That all I ever wanted was a friend.
I know I pushed you away,
But I only did it to protect you,
And I wish you had stayed.Even though I hurt you,
I never meant for it go this way,
As my focus flickers and fades,
I'm holding onto
The memory of you,
While you let my fingers slip
Out of yours. You let me go.
