I'm here too

Stuck in a tunnel darker
Than the deepest night.
All you can see is a little light.

Stumbling,

Tripping,

Flailing,

To get to that precious, precious light.
But you fear that as you
Draw nearer and nearer to it,
It starts to flicker.
To die.

Don't give up,
This life's too short to waste it,
Don't let it slip down the drain
Like the tears that you cried,
You feel trapped inside your head,
Barred in your own cell.
But I'm here to tell you:
You're not alone,
I'm here too.

As you lose hope,
The light dims still further.
I can't see you,
I'm reaching out,
Desperately searching in the dark.
If you can feel me grab my hand,
I'll hold it tight and never
Ever let you go.
Don't let your fingers slide,
And slip through my grip.
If you ever feel lost,

Alone,

Afraid,

Or lonely,

Just always remember:

You're not alone,

Because I'm here too.
