Forgotten

Deep in your memories,
Hoping you'll find me.
Flung from your train of thought,
Into the sea of lost fantasies.

When you walk down the road,
And hear my voice nearby,
Would you stop?

When you turn around
Will you recognize my face?
Or will you pass me by,
With a little lie,
The look that comes on

Your face when you see
A stranger.

I never thought a gaze
I knew so well could
Turn so cold.

Your eyes were the forest
I could lose myself in,
Run free from all trouble.

But now I'm lost.

Lost in my memories,
Hoping you'll find me.
As I slip beneath the sea,
I know you won't remember me.

It's turned so dark, I can't see.
Trains of thought may cease,
You've forgotten me.
