[third pov]

"Just the person I was looking for." Corazon smiles widely as she walked to Carlos at his locker. He turned around to meet her eyes. She was in a much better mood than before.

"I'm honoured." He jokes, closing his locker to give her his full attention.

"Don't flatter yourself, C." She playfully rolls her eyes. "Anyway, I eventually got a B+." She squealed, showing him her paper with the mark for the history of woodsmen and pirates test.

"A shocker, hm?" He smiles proudly at the petit girl.

"Actually, yes." Corazon argues back. "What did you get?" She curiously asks.

"An A." He casually shrugs, leaning on his closed locker.

"Mister 'you're-going-to-have-a-higher-mark-than-me' actually got a higher mark." She says, impressed by him.

"I lied to you earlier. You needed to calm down." He chuckles. "And—uh, maybe we can together and we'll hang out—"

"There you are, little C." Mal, followed by Evie, interrupts Carlos. She looked both nervous and in a hurry. "We have been looking everywhere for you and I need you." She states grabbing her wrist and dragging her along. "Sorry, we're stealing her for a while, bye other little C!" Dumbfounded Carlos waves Corazon goodbye, pulled away by the two VK girls. Corazon looks confused back at Carlos but sends him one last smile.

"Hold up, what's wrong?" Corazon asks as the three arrive at Evie and Mal's dorm. The two let go of her wrist and Mal sighs while Evie has a smug smile plastered on her flawless face.

"Ben just asked me out on a—on a—" Mal chokes out, not wanting the say the end of the sentence.

"Date." Evie finishes for her, running towards Mal's closet. "Ok down to business, ladies. Corazon I need your opinion on multiple looks I have in mind." Evie says, getting multiple jackets out of the closet and laying them on her bed. Processing everything, she nods at Evie and follows her orders. The two finally settle on a pinkish dress with a stripped pattern and a black leather jacket. To finish the look, Evie adds some blush to Mal's cheeks. Using upwards strokes of course. Mal walks to the body-length mirror to see the final look.

"I look—" Mal starts, a little unsure of herself. Corazon saw a complete different side of Mal. An insecure, soft Mal looked at her own reflection.

"Say it." Evie encouraged her with a wide, proud smile on her face. Evie and Corazon both walked to a side of the mirror to look at their masterpiece.

"Not hideous." Mal finally spits out. Saying she was nervous would be an understatement. This is her first date and she doesn't want to mess anything up, even though her feelings for Ben may or may not be real.

"Not even close." Corazon smiles at her. A knock on the door makes the three girls look up. Mal looked one last time at her two dear friends, lets out a shaky breath and walked to open the door. As expected Ben was outside the dorm, holding two helmets.

"For the first time I understand the difference between pretty and beautiful." Corazon jokingly rolls her eyes at the cheesy but sweet pick-up line from Ben. "I hope you like bikes?" The two leave the room to go on their date, leaving Corazon and Evie in the dorm. Evie has been working on a dress for Corazon and wanted to show her. Corazon looked in awe at the sketch for her. The dark red, chic dress would be for the coronation in a few days but Corazon couldn't wait to wear it.

"It's amazing, Evs! You have some serious talent!" Corazon complimented Evie.

"Great! I was afraid you might didn't like it. Now I can start making the dress." Evie jumps out of her seat and runs over to the different fabrics in the corner of the room. Corazon looks exhausted at the excited bluenette, dropping down on Evie's bed.

"Hello?" The platinum haired boy opens the door a little to look inside the dorm. "Hi, guys." He says, opening the door further and closing it behind him when he and the campus mutt are inside.

"Dude!" Corazon exclaims at the happy dog, waggling his tail. The dog runs to her and jumps on the bed to lick her all over her face. "I love you, but that's a little gross." She chuckles pushing him softly out of her face and petting him behind his ear.

"That kinda hurts." Carlos jokes, walking over to Corazon. She looks at him, acknowledging him for the first time. He was wearing his tourney jersey, ready to either train or play a game.

"Oh, hey C." She says, already moving her attention back to the playful dog.

"Hey Carlos, can you hand me that glue gun?" Evie asks, pointing to the gun a few feet away from her. She held a tiara in her hands with one big ruby in the form of a heart in the middle. He nods and hands her the glue gun. She carefully glues the heart to the middle and smiles when she succeeds. "Perfect." She whispers to herself. "Hey Corazon, what do you think of this tiara. I thought it would match your dress and your ring." She smiles, adoring the ruby.

"That's really pretty, Evie." Corazon stands up from the bed. Evie hands her the tiara, motioning for her to try it on. Corazon walks to the mirror and slowly places the tiara on her head. The tiara makes her feel powerful and beautiful. Two things she never feels like.

"You look so beautiful, princess of Hearts." Evie says, jokingly bowing for her. Corazon chuckles and playful rolls her eyes, handing Evie the tiara back because she was afraid to already break it. "That was such a great idea." Evie mumbles to herself, safely putting the tiara back in a velvet box on her desk. "Now I need to go downtown to get the right fabric for your dress." Evie excitedly smiles.

"Shall I go with you?"

"No, no. That's ok, I need to figure everything out and I think you'll be bored." Evie chuckles, snatching her purse from the desk. "Bye, guys!" She yells, slamming the door shut behind her.

"Do you want to come along to tourney practice, Corazon?" Carlos asks, leaning on Mal's bed.

"Sure!"
