[third pov]

"Easy on the blush, Evs." Corazon carefully laughs, not wanting to have red lipstick on her teeth. She smoothed out her deep, red dress once more before turning around to look in the mirror. Today was coronation day. The day the United States of Auradon would get a new king, king Benjamin Florian Beast. He may already have made his first proclamation as king, but will officially be crowned today by the Fairy Godmother with her magic wand. A magic wand some mischievous students have taken an interest in.

"My mom taught me—"

"How to apply blush before you could talk, I know." Corazon interrupts Evie. Evie jokingly shakes her head and closes the blush, cleaning her desk up before the two would be picked up. "Always use upwards strokes." Corazon grins, pointing to her cheekbones. Evie smiles and walks over to see her own final look.

"You look like the fairest of them all, E." Corazon winks, noticing the frown on Evie's flawless face. "Make your momma proud, I'm sure she'll be watching the coronation on the tv." Evie looked reassured and nodded with a smile.

"She's already proud." Evie smiled while readjusting a necklace. Corazon looked satisfied at Evie and pulled her in for a hug. "Easy, Corazon, I just did your hair and makeup." Evie says sternly.

"Yes, sorry ma'am." Corazon jokes, rolling her eyes but pulling away from the hug. Evie looks yet again at Corazon's curled, brown locks to see if they're still as curly and shiny as before. "Evie, everything looks more than perfect. You did an absolute amazing job and I can't wait to see Mal's dress because you wouldn't let me look." Corazon adds with raised eyebrows, stepping away from the other princess so she would stop with all the tiny touch ups. They hear a knock on the door and Corazon goes to open the door of Evie and Mal's dorm. "Well hello, boys. Come in." She says, stepping away to let Jay and Carlos in. "All dressed up nicely for once." She jokes.

"I don't see you very often in a dress, princess of Hearts." Jay teases, taking a bow for her.

"Shut up, annoying peasant." She waves him off before taking a seat. She'd just put her heels on but they were already killing her feet. Jay chuckles before taking a seat as well but Carlos hasn't said a word. "Ready for the coro—"

"You look beautiful." He blurts out, a little surprised by his own bravery. Corazon's eyebrows shoot up but a playful smirk is forming on her lips. Evie and Jay softly chuckle, eyes darting between the two C's.

"Well thank you, C." Corazon smiles at him. Getting up out of the chair she wavers a little because of the heels. "You sure look handsome yourself."

"I know." Jay jokes, standing up to look at himself in the mirror. Corazon jokingly rolls her eyes at him but Evie looks at him with what-the-hell-did-you-just-say-eyes, mixed with I-will-mess-you-up-eyes. "Let's go the carriage already, yeah?" Jay awkwardly chuckles, trying to escape Evie's eyes. The rest shrugs and gather everything to head out.

"It's by the way such a shame that Mal will end the love spell." Corazon suddenly says while grabbing her purse. The three look up at her with confusion. "She didn't need the spell in the first place, and I'm pretty sure he already knows."

"What makes you say that?" Evie asks surprised, eyeing Corazon curious through the mirror as she was fixing her hair yet again. Jay and Carlos look at each other and back at Corazon.

"A love spell is pretty obvious. Maybe some of his friends told him how obsessed he is with her, or he found out by himself. After all, don't take food from villains." She says, looking directly at Carlos. Carlos' eyes widen and both Evie and Jay felt the sudden tension in the dorm. She knows.

"This seems a little personal, we should—uh, go already. Right, Jay?" Evie says with a fake smile plastered on her face, dragging Jay with her to the door. Corazon follows them with her eyes and when the door is slammed shut, she turns her head to the uneasy villain in front of her.

"Uh—hi." Carlos mumbles, rubbing the back of his neck. His eyes are everywhere but her as he knows where this conversation will go to.

"So." Corazon starts, crossing her arms in front of her and an eyebrow raised. "The little, shy VK isn't as innocent as everyone thinks he is, now are you?"

"I have no clue what you're talking about." He answers uncertain, moving from one foot to another. Lies.

"You're a shame for villains with your terrible lies and acting skills." She sighs, pinching the bridge of her nose. "And just a question, I may or may not already know the answer of but I'm going to ask it anyway, what were you trying to achieve with it?" Corazon dared him. Carlos couldn't escape her eyes anymore and stared into them, almost forgetting she confronted him with the fact be poisoned her with Reese's.

"Well—uh look, I—uh. I don't know." Carlos stammers. The both of them clearly knew the real answer to that question.

"Of course." She mutters at his answer, rolling her eyes in annoyance. "Well, we need to go if we wanna make the coronation." Not wanting to be near him anymore she left the dorm in a hurry. Only to be met with two eavesdropping villains when opening the door. "Thought you guys already left for the coronation? Or did the location change to this dorm?" She sasses at Jay and Evie who uncomfortable smiled at her because they got busted. "Let's go, guys. Maybe Ben takes it better, being poisoned." Corazon sarcastically says, turning around to look at Carlos.
