Demi Dogs

Melanie's POV

I waited alongside Steve , Dustin , Max and Lucas for Dart to arrive and take the bait or should I say the chunks of meat we had left to lure Dart towards us .

The next thing I knew Steve left the bus we was taking shelter in and began swinging his bat around .

I listened carefully and could hear the growling of what I presumed was Dart .

"Come on . I'm sure it tastes better than cat"

Steve said in a poor attempt to get Dart out of his hiding spot .

"He's insane"
Max stated .

"He's awesome"
Dustin responded .

"Steve !"
Lucas shouted from where he was watching the scene from .

"I'm a little busy here"

"3 o clock ! 3 o clock !"

Except Steve been Steve didn't listen .

I alongside Dustin ran slightly outside the abandoned bus before the both of us started shouting

"ABORT ! STEVE ABORT !"

It was then that I noticed Dart wasn't alone and there was multiple demidogs coming from different directions .

Looks like Dart brought his friends !

Steve whacked the demidog getting close to him with his bat before running into the bus with the rest of us .

Dustin began trying to get hold of someone on the other side of the line of his walky talkey and failing in the attempt.

Max screamed before I pulled her away from the bottom of the ladders and Steve was about to whack the demidog that was at the top of the ladders but instead it turned the other way and jumped of the bus .

"Why did it leave ? Has it just decided not to attack us any more?"
I asked

"No there going somewhere"
Steve replied .

I take it we are now going to follow them .
