𝙐𝙥𝙩𝙤𝙬𝙣 𝙂𝙞𝙧𝙡 {𝘽𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙮 𝙃𝙖𝙧𝙜𝙧𝙤𝙫𝙚}

Distraction

Melanie's POV

I met Dustin , Steve and Lucas at the junkyard as Dustin had assembled us to fight Dart .

"What about Max?"
Lucas asked

"Go and get her"
Dustin suggested

"You might need help doing that Lucas"
I implied .

"What do you mean ?"

"Billy won't let her out"

I thought about how Billy's dad would be mad if Max left the house or went missing .

"So ? We can just sneak her out"

"And I can help you with that"

We arrived at the house both Billy and Max live in . I suggested to Lucas that he found another way to sneak Max out whilst I spoke or should I say distracted Billy at the door even though I still hadn't planned out what to say .

I knocked on the door praying Billy would answer not his dad or Susan .

Luckily my prayers were answered when Billy opened the door looking confused as he saw me stood there .

"Hey"
I said .

"Melanie what are you doing here ?"
He replied .

"Well I just came to ask how you are doing"
I cringed at my choice of words .

"I'm fine but why did you come all the way here to tell me that"

He had a good point , it did look extremely weird . I paused for a moment not knowing what to say before continuing

"Well I had a lot of fun at the lake and I enjoy spending time with you so maybe we could meet up again sometime soon"

In all honesty that wasn't just part of the distraction because everything I just said was completely true and the distraction was just a bonus .

I could tell Billy was skeptical on the fact I just showed up here out of nowhere though and I would be too to be honest .

"Yeah I agree and I enjoy spending time with  you aswell"

"Well great so it's a date 2.0 then"
I said with a grin .

Out of the corner of my eye I saw Lucas at the side of the house now with Max at his side the both of them ushering me to hurry up .

I decided I needed to go with them before we waste anymore time and Dart attacks anyone .

"I really have to go now . Talk to you later"
I continued whilst rushing my words before pressing a quick kiss onto Billy's lips .

"What was that all about ?"
Max and Lucas said in sync once out of Billy's sight and earshot .

"None of your businesses"
I replied causing Max to smirk .
