It Was True

Melanie's POV

I watched as Billy woke up and became unparalyzed .

"Melanie ?"
Billy groaned .

"Yup that's me . You calmed down yet ?"
I asked .

Billy sat up groggily before joining me on the sofa .

"You're a real bitch you know that"
Billy muttered .

I glared at him before replying

"I meant everything I said to you I really did"

Billy's hardened glare began to soften as I said this .

I felt Billy shift in the seat he had taken beside me before I felt his gaze focus on the side of my face .

"How can I believe you ? How do I know that you didn't just say it to get Max out of the house?"

I guess I had never see this side to Billy before . Yes I had seen him vulnerable after that physical argument with his dad that time but I had never seen him lack self confidence like this .

"I'm different from the other girls you said it yourself"

Billy said nothing probably realising I was right or maybe he just didn't have anything to say .

"We should go . Now that your awake we should go somewhere else instead of lounging in someone else's house"
I suggested

Billy nodded agreeing with me although I doubt he really cared .

It was then that I noticed that the only way I would get home was to walk and I didn't think it was a good time to ask Billy for a lift .

I began walking away towards where I live before I heard

"Get in"

I turned around to face Billy only to see him sigh but gesture to the passenger seat .

I smiled slightly and muttered a 'thanks' before sitting in the car .

Billy pulled up outside my house but I Stayed seated .

"Aren't you going to get out ?"
Billy sneered .

The tone in his voice made it evident that he was still pissed off .

"I meant everything I said"

"How can I be so sure ?"

I was silent for a few moments before I gave up holding it back and said

"Because I love you that's why"

I looked down at the ground as soon after I said it .

The tension was so thick you could cut it with a knife . Billy was silent for a few moments before I felt his hand lift my chin up to face him before he crashed his lips to mine .
