Chapter tweleve- New starts

"Be careful Heather." I tell her, she has two trays of food she has to take to a table.
"I will." She says walking off. I decide to come here after school even though I'm off, I was hungry so I took Cole here to eat.
"Five bucks says she drops it." Cole says taking a sip of his Coke.
"Your on." I tell him, we both watch Heather take her trays to the tables. She doesn't drop it. I hold out my hand he pays up.
"You guys want any food?" Heather comes over to ask.
"I'm good." Cole says
"Me too, but you should come over after work hang." I tell her.
"Yeah sure, thanks." She says walking over to another table. Zoe walks in, please don't see us, please don't see us.
"Omg Cole and Allie." She says walking over, shit.
"Hi Zoe." I say trying to be nice, Cole does a little sup with his hand.
"Allie, you know they sell full shirts right." She says looking at my crop top.
"What do you want?" I ask her.
"I just wanted to see if it was true that Cole tried to kill himself and had to go to a mental hospital, you know like for crazy people. Because obviously it's an attention grabber, pathetic but I-" She starts to go off but I stand but and slap her.
"Bitch." I spat at her, I could probably get fired even though I'm not technically working right now.
"I can sue you." Zoe threats.
"Oh I'm really scared. What you gonna take the car I don't know, the house I don't own or the money I don't have. Fuck off Zoe." I tell her getting my bag, Cole stands up ready to walk home at any minute.
"No but good luck getting into that dancer school if I do." She threats again.
"You know what Zoe, go right ahead. Just know if you ever say anything like that again, I'll rip that nose ring right out and not think twice about it." I say harshly then I walk out the door.
"Allie slow down." Cole calls after me, he has to jog to get to me.
"I hate her." I say still not slowing down, I'm walking straight for home. Cole grads me by the shoulders, making me face him.
"I know but you could have just gotten fired and what you said about the nose ring." He points out.
"I don't care, and I would hell I'll go do it now." I say trying to go back, Cole stops me.
"I'm not gonna let you do that." He says.
"What she said wasn't right it was mean and bitchy and I just wanted to-" I start but Cole kisses me, cutting me off.
"I know. But forgot about Zoe, let's go home and we can wait for Heather to come over." He says after.
"No need to wait." Heather says running up to us.
"Did you see what happened?" I ask.
"Yeah." She says.
"Am I fired?"
"No, it didn't happen when you were working." She tells me. I smile and we all walk back to the apartment, the mail is on the floor inside the door.
"You guys, I got something from Julliard." I say.
"Open it." Cole says.
"Yeah open it." Heather agrees. I rip into it and read what it says.
"I got in!" I yell, Cole cheers and kisses me.
"Do that later Cole I wanna hug her!" Heather says, then she runs over and hugs me.
"Is this a good time to tell you about the apartment I signed the contact for in New York?" Cole asks.
"What?" I ask.
"I knew you were gonna get in so I got us an apartment there, now it's a little farther from campus but you can ride your bike or us my car." He says.
"It doesn't matter, it's perfect!" I cheer.
"My best friend is gonna be a dancer!" Heather yells grading my hands and jumping up and down. Cole laughs at us. I give Heather a big hug, she really is the best friend I have.
"Wait what about you? Did you get in to Princeton?" I ask her.
"Yeah." She says, I hug her again.
"What about Kyle did he get into that art school... Tyler it was called right?" Cole asks. Heather nods yes.
"We can come spend break in New York with you too." Heather says.
"Yes!" I cheer. We do one of those cheesy and corny group hugs.
"This is gonna be a new start for us you guys. I'm gonna be in Pennsylvania and you two in New York, goodbye Texas!" Heather cheers throwing her hands in the air. I know she's right and even though some of us will be in different places, I know that everything will be ok with all of us. I'll always have Heather and Kyle as friends, and I'll have Cole with me so yeah I'd say everything worked out just fine.
