“I do.”
“Not…”

gαѕρѕ єяυρτє∂ ιи τнє ϲнυяϲн, all men and women alike holding up a hand to cover their mouths in utter surprise. Jennie didn’t say anything. She only squeezed Soonyoung’s arm to encourage him more. She glanced over to Soonyoung and caught him staring at her, shooting her a gentle smile before he turned around to face the mass of people who attended his so-called wedding.
“I do not.” He repeated, catching Sora’s eyes by the corner of his eyes and caught him smirking. Lights were flashing and journalists immediately wrote down the sudden change of events, brainstorming for the best title of the article they had in mind.
“What are you doing?” Taiyo hissed out; his eyes trained to his son alone. Soonyoung looked over to his father and met his gaze. He raised his chin up to assert his dominance. “I said ‘I do—”
“Do not embarrass yourself. I’ve heard you loud and clear.”
Soonyoung arched an eyebrow. “Then don’t make yourself look dumb.”
Everyone once again gasped, not expecting for the son of a successful company insult his father in front of everybody. Even worse, in front of a live television.
Taiyo gritted his teeth and stood up from his seat. “You’re all talk, but you’re the one who’s looking like the fool between the two of us.”
“And you’re actually arguing back. From what I’ve remembered, you told me to remain calm to look professional. Well, look who’s calm now?” they heard a loud cough by the corner of the room and they turned to see Sora covering his mouth, tilting his face down in a way to hide his reaction. But Soonyoung knew he was trying to hold back laughing.
Soonyoung turned to look at Taiyo and Taiyo had looked back. Taiyo leaned in to whisper, “do not ruin our—”
“Our what? Our image? Dad, why do you even care about that?”
“Hoshi—”
“Dad, just tell me the truth.” Taiyo shut his mouth as he stared back to Soonyoung who had a confused expression on. “Why is the company so important to you? Why is fame so important to you that you had to ruin my life?”
Murmurs erupted in the middle of cameras clicking and lights flashing and Taiyo glanced around him, his frown deepening. “Hoshi, I am warning y—”
“Dad, I had the most perfect life back in Korea! I had my friends beside me and I had Mom looking after me and entertaining all the time! Why’d you have to take my happiness away, Dad? Why?”
“Hoshi’s mother? Does he have another woman?”
“Has he been cheating to his wife all along?”
“Who is this other woman?”
Soonyoung pursed his lips as he realized that his father had never mentioned his mother in the public for once. It made it look like his father had an affair behind Kyoko when really, his mother was the soulmate of Ito Taiyo all along. It made him furious.
“You never even called us up when we were in Korea. Mom was always worried, you know? For all we know, maybe my father had had an accident and needed help. Mom would sometimes panic just thinking of you, Dad. Can’t you at least give her one call and ease her worries? Make her feel that at least you still care about us? Huh?”
