Eddies POV
I was laying on the hospital bed waiting to meet the people whose home I would be staying in until further notice. Richie was still sitting beside me, and I was holding his hand.
"How're you doing?" I asked him
"You know, same old thing, I get home, my dad gets home, he yells at me for no reason, the usual" he replied
"I really wish you didn't have to go through that"
"It's only until I finish school. Once I graduate, I'm packing my shit" he told me
"I just want you to be happy, you deserve it"
"Don't worry about me Eds I'll be ok"
"Don't call me that" I grumbled and we laughed
Richie went to go use the bathroom and then the door opened and a doctor peeked his head in.
"Hey Eddie, your foster family is here" he said
The door opened and my eyes widened at who it was.
"Bill?" I said
"Eddie? What happened?" He said rushing over to me
"My mom, she just hurt me a lot no biggie" I said
"Why didn't you tell any of us? We could've helped you" he told me
"I was scared of her" I told him tearing up "Wait why are you here?" I asked him
"My mom has been wanting to do foster care for a while since she's a teacher, she wants kids and teens to be able to have some stability in their lives and she wants to provide that"
I looked over at his mom and who I assumed to be Bills little brother.
"Hi" I said to them
"Hello Eddie, my name is Andrea Denbrough and I was wondering if you wanted to come stay with us for a while" Bills mom said
"Yeah, I would like that" I replied
Richie came out the bathroom and everyone turned to face him.
"What're you doing here?" Bill said
"Um" Richie said while looking at me
"Bill-" I said grabbing his arm
"Eddie why is he here?" Bill asked me
Mrs. Denbrough said she was going in the hallway and took Georgie with her.
"Bill listen to me, Richie and I have been talking for a while. I just didn't tell you"
"Eddie-" he started but I cut him
"I know you both told me to worry about him, but once you get to know him, he's a really great guy. Please just try to get along with him"
Bill sighed "Fine, only for you though"
I smiled wide "Thank you" I said and Bill just smiled at me
Richie walked over and sat down where he was before. I held my hand out and he laced our hands together. I smiled at him and he smile back.
"Wait, are you two dating?" Bill asked
"No" I said
"Oh, just Richie, I know you have a bad reputation but please prove me wrong. Don't hurt Eddie" Bill said
"I would never" Richie said looking at me
"Good"
