18 Searching for Woyoung pt.2

Chenle POV

It's been days and I didn't find Woyoung at all.
I was at the police station and told
' dad ' I found Woyoung sandal.
It could be a clue right?

" Okay so what were you and your friends were doing in that forest? " Taeyong one of my dad's officer asked.
" They wanted to show me around " I lied
" But we then ended finding one of her shoes "

" Are you sure it's hers? " He asked concerned.
" Yes " I said " I knew it's her shoes because she wears them most of the time and when we came here "
Taeyong nodded while ' dad ' stood there walking back and forth.
" So if you find her shoes there then could they be somewhere in the forest out there? " ' dad ' asked.
" I was thinking the same " Taeyong said
" Whoever behind this is pretty clever to not leave any traces of the victims but you found one Chenle "

I nodded and he starts to type things on the computer.
" Was there anything else you found? " He asked.
" No " I said " I only found her shoes "
He nodded and then stood up.
" We will search around that forest l- "
Before Taeyong could finish ' dad ' cut him off.
" No we are searching there now " he said
" Chenle go back home with aunt Cara and Taeyong tell the other we are gonna be investigating around that forest "

I didn't say anything so I stood up and left the police station quietly.
As I left I saw Renjun walking towards me.
" How was it? " He asked.
" They're gonna be searching " I said " He told me to go home "

Renjun nodded.
" Well you should go home and rest " He said " You must be so stressed about this "
Just then Jeno and Jaemin came behind him.
" You should " Jeno said " Want me to company you? "
" No it's okay " I said " Thanks for the offer but I can go alone. I'll see you guys tomorrow "

I then left.

When I got home I saw Aunt Cara sitting on the couch reading a book.
' Mom ' must be at work.
The house was silent but when she saw me she smiled.
" How did it go? " she asked.
" It's fine " I said " They're gonna be searching again "

She nodded and laid her eyes on the book again.
Now that Woyoung was gone I noticed how things changed.
The house was silent and it wasn't like how it was before.
I didn't have someone shove food in my mouth when I refuse to eat.
I didn't have someone I can joke around with anymore.
I can't really see the dramatic Woyoung I see everyday anymore.

Without her, I realized how different life was.
She was the sunshine in our family.
The one who light us up.
She was everyone's happiness and also weakness.

I went to my room and thought about the times we had together.
I really did miss her. I love her but now she's taken away.
She could be suffering or maybe even be dead.
The thought made me want to punch my wall but I controlled myself.
I'll make sure whoever behind this go behind bars.

Maybe if I sleep will everything be alright? Will ' dad ' find Woyoung? Not only Woyoung but will they find the rest of the victims and let them live their lives again?

Will she be able to reunite with us again?
