The day had ended and Flynn was thankful that he could finally go home for the day. Hair still damp from training and body still smelling slightly of chlorine, he left the building, ready to go home before remembering his deal with Damon.
"Shoot, nearly forgot about that."
He turned back round but not before noticing Aniyah herself getting into a black car which had every single window tinted black. He couldn't tell its make or model, the company badge having been wrenched off and the plate reading 'null'.
"Definitely not suspicious, right?" a voice seemingly coming from nowhere called out.
Flynn looked around, trying to pinpoint exactly where the voice was coming from but his line of sight stayed empty, not a single thing out of place.
A door to a black Vauxhall Astra opened up as an amused looking Damon stepped out. Embarrassment flooded Flynn's face in the form of a creeping blush when he realised that Damon was sat in his car and he didn't notice.
"What did you plan that we did?"
"Well, you planted the listening device on her right?"
"Right on her clothes while she was in practise."
He'd nearly been caught enough times when he sneaked into the girls locker room, first time being when Aniyah came back in to get her googles. Flynn thanked how skinny he was then when he found himself contorting into shapes he didn't want to think about while closing himself into the locker just below the one Aniyah's clothes were in.
He could still remember the thrill of it when he realised he could have gotten caught.
Flynn enjoyed the thrill all the same, wishing that he could feel it again soon.
Damon pulled out two in ear devices, one for himself and the other presumably for Flynn.
"We'll be able to hear everything that goes on from that side with these on. Don't loose it."
He rolled his eyes, not understanding how an in-ear piece was going to fall out. The while point of them was to reliably stay in place.
"Well now that we're working together, Damon, how did you even manage to get your hands on these? I doubt they sell in your local corner shop."
A smirk broke out on Damon's face, a matching dangerous glint in his eye to go with it.
"That, Flynn, is none of your business."
Damon stuck his key in the ignition, the car quietly coming to life as the non-descript black car pulled out of the school car park.
Flynn reached out to his ear piece and pressed a small button, making it ping to life in his ear. He thought about how weird it was that he was really listening in to someone else's conversation, picturing himself on some kind of action movie.
"So, I don't even want to begin knowing how many laws I'm breaking by travelling in this car, let alone how many laws your driver is breaking by even having such a car."
A deep chuckle came from what seemed to be next to Aniyah. Flynn and Damon exchanged a glance at each other, not daring to speak as they continued listening to what the two were speaking about.
"Well, I'm afraid you're lawful citizen half of your personality is going to have to do a lot more law-bending on this mission." the deep voice from before muttered, the cocking of a gun being heard from the background.
"Of course you got back into my room, even when I looked and bolted the window shut." Aniyah replied, her voice light and playful. "So, what's the plan today?"
