Dawn couldn't process the words she had just read and she sure didn't have time when she heard the inhuman shriek that came from the other room.

It made sense, Flynn being able to get everyone out of La Morte but what didn't make sense, then, was how the Captain had gotten the wrong brother. He was a man of precision, of fact so there was no way that he'd gotten Walter and Flynn mixed up.

"Oh my god."

It clicked. And with that, she ran into the room where the two boys were lying, unconscious on the floor.

If she didn't get them to her room in the next five minutes, these boys weren't going to make it.

"George, I haven't got any time to joke around. I'll get Flynn but I need you to get Damon up into my table."

The grave expression on her face told him enough as he hauled Damon off of the floor and over his shoulder. Dawn did the same to Flynn, nearly breaking out into a sprint as she left the training room and ran  upstairs right into the medical room.

"Pull the second table from behind the curtain." she instructed, pointing behind the curtain to help out George.

A few months ago, she remembers having the Captain on this same bed after a small graze. He'd asked for Guy Teller, the fake 'Eagle's' dad. She left the room, thinking giving them some privacy would do them good.

She came back to administer a pain relief shot but with the serious expressions on their faces, she couldn't help but listen into the conversation.

"Have all the subjects gotten their shots?"

"Rider caught his supervisor, Agent 2, with the sleeping pills. Silver is still taking them without much restraint."

"Well,  Agent 2 is going to have to think of another way to keep getting them to Rider or he's going to find himself becoming inhumanely strong. Give it a efw minuts after that and the boy will 'pass out'. After that, chances are he won't make it. I'll give him a week? Maybe less if he's injured?"

Guy then seemed to tense up, like he wasn't expecting that news.

"You promised me there'd be no side effects."

"We tried to see how the subjects would cope if they came off the meds. Turns out that what I described to you above is exactly what happens."

"That was only  one of them, it won't happen to Walter and Flynn, will it?"

Captain didn't reply, they same cool look occupying his eyes even though he knew that he must have been in a lot of pain.

"You made the decision when you said you wanted your children to be the best agents while they were still in the womb. It was a risk the moment we fused the serum with your embryos."

"That was under you promise that they would be safe."

"You knew what you were signing up for the moment we told you it was a new serum. Now, find a way to get Agent 2 to get Rider his meds. Inject it into his food, his drinks, I don't know but if he dies as well, we'll have a grand total of 5 subjects left and we need them. The liquid form will be in the safe in the office. Get it to her as quick as you can."

Dejected and pained, Guy turned to the door. Before he caught sight of Dawn, she ran down the hallway and jumped onto the couch, giving Guy a small smile as he passed her.

She got up and went back to her room, giving the Captain before letting him go to her room.

She had a whole few months to think about it and it all clicked. Of course, while the boys have been here, they hadn't been taking the meds. It made sense, why suddenly Damon had enough strength to beat George and how Flynn had enough strength to beat Damon.
