Damon wasn't unaware that something was happening, he'd known something was up the moment they stepped foot in the bunker. It started with the whole chat about Rider back when the two of them had been tailing the car and listening in on the conversation happening inside of it.

Aniyah had said how he had tried to speak to 'Rider' at the school a few days after she had joined but then cut herself off, exactly like she had done with him. Then there was when the two of them called him 'Rider' again and clearly by accident. Damon hadn't even introduced himself to Ismail so when he started calling him 'Rider' and 'Damon' without a shadow of a doubt, he knew something was up.

Flynn clearly hadn't noticed when Damon listened in to his scampering around the house. Every time he saw Flynn, he closed his eyes and listened and just like he'd thought, Flynn had been mapping the whole building - fair enough. The weird thing about it all was how he always returned to going down to the bedroom floor but never into his room.

As obvious as it was that Flynn was up to something, given his condition, Damon couldn't do much, at least until the week had passed.

Flynn had gone down one of the hallways and had been in there for much longer than usual but even Damon knew that there wasn't much down that hallway but a few barren rooms and the room he'd been patched up in a few days ago.

The thought had only just passed his mind before he heard two voices coming from the hallway. He jumped onto the couch, pretending to have fallen asleep against it. It didn't take a genius to figure out that it was Dawn and Flynn's voices coming from the hallway but as soon as they stepped into the makeshift living room, their voices fell quiet and Damon could guess that they were looking over to him.

"He's asleep, you know?" Flynn said to Dawn, rustling some papers in the process.

"Better be safe than sorry." she replied, her usual sass not evident in the way she spoke.

Whatever had happened in that hour that Flynn was down in the medical room had obviously sobered the girl up because for the past two days, whenever Damon had seen her talk to anyone, there was always an edge in her replies.

The two 'quietly' tiptoed over to the hallway with the stairs, trying not to 'wake up' Damon but the few words they  had spoken between each other was enough to waken any sleeping cells in his body. Hiding things about himself was one of his pet-peeves so knowing that the two of them had gone behind his back to talk about him was out of the books.

Once the two were out of earshot, he ran downstairs and unlocked his door then took his phone off his bed before re-locking the door and going back up.

The pain in his shoulder amounted to nothing as his blood boiled. He couldn't understand it, they had come into this together so it would make more sense for Flynn to have shared whatever he found with Damon, right?

Of course, Flynn was just another one of them boys that as soon as they saw someone pretty, all their attention was focused on them.

Fuck that.

With the thought of betrayal on his mind, he followed the two in a further range until they went into Flynn's room. If this was any other situation, he would have waited and respected whatever they had gone in there to do but he knew better this time. They weren't going in there for a shag, they were in there to discuss whatever was in those papers in Flynn's hand.

He leaned in, his ear just against the opening in the slightly ajar brown door.

"When I went into the office downstairs, I wasn't expecting to find out so much. I heard the other two coming back though so I just took a few pictures of what was on the document."
