"Aniyah, dearest, how many years has it been now?" Rayan said as he inched closer and closer to the three white pillars in the middle of the room to which Damon, Aniyah and Ismail were strapped to.

Aniyah struggled against the gag, clearly wanting to give the man a piece of her mind. No matter how dangerous this man was, Aniyah wasn't going down without a fight.

He reached over and pulled down her gag with a smirk, knowing that she was going to be wary of what she said now.

"And you." he said, pointing straight to Damon "What's a handsome man such as yourself doing with these lot?"

"Don't listen to him, Damon, whatever he might say." Aniyah hissed to Damon. She couldn't let him know he was Rider, it was going to be too much hassle trying to explain it to him.

"Ismail, I'd have thought you'd be more careful, especially with how things turned out last time you came to ambush us. Oh and, I offer my condolences about your Captain, it really was a tragic way he went out." but not a single trace of sadness or reminiscence appeared on his features, the only thing prominent being the smirk in his lips.

"I swear to God I'll--"

"You'll do what, Jaguar? You don't seem like you're in any position to be screaming threats that we all know that you'll never follow through on."

"I'll promise you one thing. Even if I have to risk my life in the process, I will bring down you and La Morte, I plan on sticking to that promise."

Her eyes were full of a determination that had been absent over the last few years. Knowing that there was something she could now live for gave her a sense of purpose, even if it might have lead to her demise.

In all honesty, she knew it was coming a while back. There was no way she was getting into the group's business and coming out without any repercussions. The Captain lied when he said that they'd be out for good, everyone in the group knows that once you're in, however much you may distance yourself, you'll always stay a part of it.

"Well in that case," Rayan said while pulling a gun out of his waistband "I'm afraid I won't let you follow through on that promise."

He raised the gun so it was parallel to her forehead, deliberately slowing his steps for all the dramatic effect he could muster, a mistake on his part.

Aniyah closed her eyes, hoping that sooner rather than later, Flynn would come out from behind the shadows and knock the men down. It was either that or Aniyah left here with a bullet to her head.

Rayan was now right infront of Aniyah, the cold hard metal of the gun pressed to the front of her head.

"I guess I should make it easy for you, given our history and all."

Flynn caught Aniyah's eye from his hiding place, steadying his aim at Rayan. He winked at her, the laid-back movement catching Aniyah off guard.

Was he really joking about now, when I could literally be dead in a matter of seconds? she said to herself as she thought about how ridiculous he was.

Aniyah chuckled to herself, bringing a raised brow out of Rayan.

"What are you finding so amusing?"

"That."

Rayan hardly had a chance to move before he was grabbing his arm with a loud grunt.

"You little--"

All the other guards looked around, as if out of a cartoon, trying to find where the bullet had came from but Flynn had already jumped to another pillar, obscuring himself from the view of any of the other guards.
