Shaking the boy slightly to get him awake, she positioned herself so that she was kneeling against the bed next to Damon.
"Hey, wake up."
Groaning, he tried to turn onto his side before hisses, failing to remember that was the side he'd gotten shot at.
"No chance you could get Dawn and give me some paracetamol or something?"
"I'm not sure how much help a paracetamol is going to be for that one, Damon." she chuckled, helping him roll back onto his right side so he was facing her. "Made you your favourite. Might not be as good as you like them though."
Damon looked amused, not really sure how Aniyah would know that his favourite breakfast was scrambled eggs.
"I'm not going to ask you how you know that; I already know how you're going to answer but now that I think about it, it is a bit of a basic breakfast isn't it?"
"You're not wrong. Now I'm sure you can feed yourself because I'm not playing mommy."
"I'd never dream of it." Damon had a bright smile on his face as he said all of this, happy that after more than two years of knowing this girl, she was starting to be true to who she actually was and he preferred this Aniyah over the quiet fake one any day.
He sat upright, taking to food into his mouth with the fork that Aniyah had thought of bringing up.
"This might not be as good as my mums but it sure is not bad. Maybe I could help you on your presentation next time, alright?"
"Shut up and just say thanks, Day."
"Ooo nickname already? Does that mean I can call you Ni?"
"Do whatever you want, stupid head."
"I heard you call me that while I was basically dying in the back of that car. Did you really think that would be what would keep me awake? You calling me a stupid head?"
"I could have called you much, much worse really. Do you wanna try me?" she said with a laugh escaping her lips.
Damon raised a hand over where his heart would be. "No no, please, my poor heart couldn't take it."
A few minutes of quiet laughing and eating passed before Damon handed the finished plate back to her.
"This is the part where I'd say we should go and do something together but," he then pointed to his left shoulder "oh well, maybe in a weeks time."
"I knew it'd be about your shoulder, you didn't need to show me. But I'll be holding you to it. Next time, food's on you."
"Deal."

A few hours had passed and Flynn was still lying in his bed, not really sure what to make of what he found on the computer.
The pictures he saw on the computer kept swirling around in his head and he couldn't get them out. He had to find out what they were about but still, he couldn't find the heart to go onto his phone's camera roll and look at all the pictures he'd taken of that whole document.
"Arghh." he screamed into a pillow before punching it and getting up. Not much was going to happen if he didn't get up and try to find out more.
Medical files, that's what he was going to need. He needed more proof than just some pictures if he wanted to get to the bottom of this. Plus, pictures weren't solid proof or he could just have put his own face next to a caption 'Batman' and viola, he would have the role.
That table that Damon had been stitched up on was on the floor above along one of the 3 hallways. He got up and locked his room behind him, knowing that leaving it open might leave him exposed and he didn't need anyone finding out about his little side mission of his own.
