ICE And FIRE !!

Along with his music and studies he even joined a part time job so he could bare his expenses along with his lil sisters also! Although his father worked where Maya's father was the executive… But that meager amount won't be sufficient for three people! He would bare some household expenses as well so it wouldn't be a problem for his father! The only thing he craved was for his mother, who he had lost at a tender age… He Knew what was it to not have a mother in his life! While the rest would take their mother for granted or not care about her love and care towards them! 

His sister (Riya) never saw her mother as she was just a baby, when she lost her! Rehan made sure that his sister shouldn't miss their mother.. So would Carter to all her needs and stubbornness! He was her favorite! His priority had his father and sister at the top! Even after so many hardships he was an gentleman! Girls used to try their luck with him but he never paid any heeds! Helped them, but never took any advantage! 

There were a lot of times when Rehan and Maya crossed each other's paths but never turned back or stopped to have any sort of conversation! Being attracted to music they knew how to get connected to, by various means they would participate in various music competitions… Yup won a lot of prices and trophies in the process! 

During this time they never spoke to each other, or even looked at each other! A few times in college they would bump into each other! But instead of speaking or apologising they would fight and use nasty words… 

Once rehan had been to the library and had a lot of books in his hands making it difficult for him to see properly! He accidentally bumped into Maya who was busy talking to her friends (but was walking backwards) making things worse as the books along with Rehan fell on one side and Maya on the other! This triggered into a fight between Rehan and Maya eventually and then her gang intervened, but as Rehan shut them up by stating a few facts… 

R: Ha ab tumare dost bhi beech me bolengy na! As you can't even apologize or do anything for yourself… 

Raima (Maya's friend) :hey watch it there! Don't you know who she is or her dad is!! 

R: why should I even care about that! Jab basic manners hi nai aate hai isse… And by the way who are you to poke your nose in my matter? Kyu tumhari dost ko apne liye bolna nai aata hai kya? 

As raima was going to again speak something.. Maya stopped her by just gesturing to stop! 

M: dekho phele to galati tumhari thi! And instead of you apologising for your mistake you are arguing… Waah! Are these the manners your mother has taught you kya? 

As Maya completed that statement, she didn't expect Rehan to flare up in a way that she could sense the end of the world! 

R: How bloody dare you!!! (Yelling at top of his voice) 

The entire corridor went silent as that was the first time they had seen Rehan yell and that too, to a girl! 

R: tameez naam ki koi cheez hai kya? Aamir ghar ki ho isiliye koi tameez nai hai! And your friends are also the same! And you better never comment on my mother again! Stay in your limits! Ladki ho isiliye abhi tak khadi ho… Nai to you would have been in the emergency room at the moment!

Maya was about to speak, but the shock that she encountered by Rehan was not letting her speak! She knew she did a blunder, but she didn't intend to do or hurt him! While her friends got all angry and were about to hit Rehan, who had bent to pick his books! She stopped them and was about to apologize, but before she could say anything Rehan left! 

While the people on the floor were still discussing the incident that happened and the way Rehan had flared up and what triggered him was his mother! 

While if anyone not present over there wouldn't believe that a boy like Rehan Banerjee would have been that angry.. As the entire college knew he was the type of a guy who was silent, not short tempered or hot tempered boy! But the way he glared at Maya and was speaking to her, made sure he isn't the silent type of a person! 

While Maya thought about the incident the entire time, but couldn't get over it… As she hadn't spoken anything Ill or bad that he had given her such an insult and pointed out her status as well as verbally butchered her friends! She wanted to confront him and give her peace of mind to him and to add to that her friends added more fuel and wanted him to be rusticated from college! 

Next day Maya had made up her mind to find the boy who insulted her for no reason and insult him the same way! Though she wasn't that sort of a person who would have done all this, but when it comes to ego does anyone listen! She enquired about him and found out his name… Where and how to find him! 

As she waited for him to come, her friends wanted to wait along with her and give him a peace of mind and even physically hurt him… But she denied and told them that it's her matter she would handle it herself! As Rehan entered college, she looked at him with the stare to kill him, but then controlled herself! But as he passed by her, he didn't even bother for her existence, as if he pretended that he didn't know her or forgot everything that happened yesterday! Which made her even more angry! 

Maya slammed the bench on which Rehan sat and kept his books! 

R: pagal ho gai ho kya? 

M: Pagal aur me? No way pagal to tum ho… 

R: Hello do I even know you? And how can you speak to someone like that? Miss whatever!! 

M: well if you don't know me, then now you'll… Mr Rehan Banerjee! Kal jo tamasha tumne mera kiya hai na! I'm not going to forget and nor I'm going to allow you to forget! Till you don't apologize to me for your behavior in front of everyone! 

R: oh hello Miss aisa kuch hone nai wala hai! Jo karna hai karo! Ab tumhara hogaya ho to please leave! 

This made her angry and she bursted out! 

M: What the hell! Who the hell you think you are? Kal se dekh rahi hu kuch kiya nai aur tum mere hi peeche padh gaye ho! Bloody sick mentality, chote ghar ko, no wonder aise baatein karte ho wo bhi ek ladki se.. Manners naam ki koi cheez hoti hai… hai ki nai? 

Rehan wasn't even interested in the fight so he just shooed her away! 

R: ab jab tumara hogaya ho to leave! Aur Haan a apni awaz neeche karke baat karna… And you are the one giving bhashan on tameez! Leave! 

As he yelled with his eyes turning red! 

While the silent spectators of the class just looked on and her friends just started to drag Maya out of there! Though she was still mad but she had to get back to normal and soon she tried to forget the second encounter with that batmeez Banerjee! (the name that she gave him) while he called her nakchadi Kasshyap… 

Everyone could feel the tension between the two! If Maya's friends didn't take her out the class would have been blown up! 

Everything went back to normal within few days! That's what everyone thought, while Rehan and Maya hated each other even more but never exhibited the same! 

Once before the semesters the college had planned a trip to Goa… and made it compulsory for everyone! The exams were about to come, to relief the students from stress the college had planned a trip, for relaxation, fun and many other things!
Rehan and Maya had even gone as it was compulsory!
