This would usually be the part where Ashton enters the conversation and everyone is happy again, but you know this isn't that kind of book.

Alli's hands shook as she typed worried responses about Ashton's whereabouts.

And even she didn't know. She should know.

Tears began to form in Alli's eyes. First Addy's big scene, now Ashton disappearing? What was next? Where was he?

She ran out the door of her house once she had returned from Carmen's and jumped into her car. Alli fiddled with her GPS for a moment, punching in the address Ashton had given her.

After a 5 minute drive she arrived. Ringing the door bell several times, she stepped back when the door swung open and there stood a figure that should have been his mom.

As it turns out, it wasn't.

"Um. Who're you?" She looked her up and down. She had black, frizzy hair and dark eyes. She wore a blue crop top and held her phone in a sassy position while glaring at her.

"Tarah." She said sternly. "And you are..?" Tarah raised her bushy eyebrows.

"My name's Alli." Alli seemed intimidated by this pretty girl. "So... Are you his sister or something?"

Tarah looked confused. Stepping out on to the porch with her, she said, "No actually, I'm his girlfriend."

"Tarah?" Ashton said tiredly as he thumped down the stairs. "Who's at the door, sweetheart?"

"Some chick named Alli." Tarah stated as she turned around to face him.

His face froze. He stopped walking for a moment. The look of shock on his face was almost as clear as the tears on Alli's.

"I can't believe you Ashton!" Alli stomped. "Is this why you were acting so distant? What is wrong with you? We are so done, Ashton!"

She ran away from the house and to her car. Alli locked herself in there and wept like a child. She couldn't seem to stop. Her hands were shaking as she opened the group chat and typed an announcement for all to see.
