they had finally reached the edge of the whispering woods that revealed brightmoon. catra had signaled all the princesses to return to their kingdoms, meaning glimmer and bow must have already returned to brightmoon,

the pair had both made it on foot, while adora's ankle only growing more painful with each step of the way there.

"hey hey, hey, it's okay," catra warned softly as she noticed adoras expression growing more unpleasant and her limping becoming more obvious.

"we can take a break." she smiled at adora, helping her to sit down on the grass and she then sat next to her.

"is it feeling even worse?"

"..yeah, but not too much, I think I can keep going-" adora then attempted to stand up and walk, but stumbled and catra quickly caught her.

"no, adora, you're hurt, you need help." catra said affectionately, "lucky for you, you've got me!"

adora looked at catra in surprise as she suddenly picked her up bridal style, blushing.
"catra?! are you sure you can do this? I'm a bit heavy..."

"naH,I got this! trust me, you're pretty light to me anyway so don't worry." catra said as she grunted slightly, adjusting her grip.
"it's better than having to see you walk in pain, so in a way, it's better for both of us."

"yeah..you're right." adora looked up, giving a "thank you" grin at catra, which in response gave one in response, no words were exchanged yet they both knew what those smiles meant.

"where are they? they should be here by now, wouldn't they?" glimmer paced back in forth near the doors of brightmoon, visibly anxious."

"glimmer, I'm sure they're on their way! they'll be here soon. I can feel it." bow responded assuringly.

"what if there were more horde soldiers and they got attacked?" glimmer panicked, "what if they both got hurt? what if they're already in the frightzone?!"

"gLIMMER! now you're starting to freak me out!" bow sheepishly said, his voice cracking.

as if on queue, the guards had opened the doors to reveal catra carrying adora,

"PRINCESS CATRA AND ADORA HAVE ARRIVED."

catra walked towards the entrance of brightmoon carrying adora, the guards announcing their arrival as they opened the doors.

just seconds later, the two came barreling towards them, encasing then into a tight hug.

"adora! we thought we lost you!" glimmer muffled into adora's shoulder.

"are you two okay? please tell me you guys are okay," bow concernedly shrieked.

"guys, guys, we're okay. well, I'm okay, adora's not," catra tried to relax the two. "I'm just going to take her to the infirmary, they'll know what to do."

"okay, what but happened?" glimmer asked curiously.

"horde soldiers messed up my foot." adora sighed, still slightly embarrassed. "and catra's right, so don't worry! I don't think it'll be too bad."

"well if you say so, but we're coming along! the best friend quad is always there for each other!"

"yeah!" glimmer said brightly. "were always going to be here for you whenever you need us."

adora smiled, "thanks, you guys are the best."

catra chuckled, "of course we are,"

"but c'mon, let's get you all fixed up."
