"Sir Rafael,"

Rafael ignored the man in a suit that rushed to him the moment he walked briskly to the brown door at the end of the hallway pulling Olivia behind him. His eyes focused on his father's study.

The house went so cold as the workers began to stick their heads out from the rooms to see what was going on. The silence around the house was deafening.

Olivia tried to pull her hand away from him since they got down from that car but Rafael's hold on her was just too tight.

He pushed the door open forcefully and walked into the big room, his eyes focused on Randy who just sat behind his wooden desk, with his eyes focused on the book in front of him. Rafael exhaled and then walked briskly to the table, still pulling Olivia with him, this time gently. He dropped the cheque on the table with a loud thud.

"We won't be needing this." He told him. "And there won't be any need for you to meet up or talk to Olivia anymore in the future without my permission." Rafael glared at him just as a tiny smirk appeared on Randy's cheeks. He slowly raised his head to meet theirs, meeting Olivia's first.

Olivia drew a deep breath. Just seeing him sit there like that reminded her of how terrified she was supposed to be of him. She cringed behind Rafael and then held on tight to his hand, causing Rafael to turn to her just a little bit. He noticed the fear from her loud breathing. He noticed how scared she was to let him go. She was terrified.

Randy drew a deep breath.

"I see your fiancée let you in on our little talk yesterday."

Rafael slowly turned back to him as he watched his father slouch into his chair.

"I love Olivia father, and there's nothing you'd possibly do to make me feel any differently or change that. Don't appear in front on her, don't threaten her and don't hurt her ever again."

"I only wanted us to talk about the way forward, about what was best for you, what is— best for you."

Rafael scoffed.

"What is best for me? You of all people in the world have no idea what that is. You don't know what is best for anyone except yourself-"

"Rafael," Olivia whispered to him, tugging his arm so he didn't have to say anything else.

"Stop making people feel like you actually care about me or anyone else. All you've ever cared about is your company and stupid political campaigns. I'm not a kid anymore and you don't get to tell me how or who to love. You lost a say in anything concerning my life years ago. I refuse to be used and taken advantage of for your selfish reasons and endless struggle for power. I want nothing to do with it. My life is not your playground, play your games somewhere else."

The door opened quickly just as Sommadina rushed in. She stopped in front of the table and stared lostly at the situation in front on her, holding her breath as she stared in her husband's eyes. She could notice the anger in it and couldn't possibly imagine what it was he was thinking about but she could take a guess.
She slowly turned back to Rafael.

"And please stop pretending to be such a good father because we all know you're anything but one. All my life you've done nothing but turn your back on all of us. You've lived your life like a man without a home to come back to, like a man who didn't have kids that yearned to be loved by him, that begged for his attention. And all the while you were busy taking care of your company and defiling your marital vows by kicking it with all the women around the world, we celebrated every birthday without you, every graduation, every success, every heartbreak and every failure. And now, somehow you feel the need to just wake up one day and decide who should be in my life and who not? You're a big hypocrite and you've been dead to me for as long as I can remember."

Randy sat straight like he was about to get up right before Rafael felt a big push on his arm that turned him around to face Sommadina right before she slapped him. Hard.

Olivia gasped, watching Rafael's face turn to the other side, he could taste the blood on his tooth from his lower lip. He had bit hard on it without even knowing.

"How dare you?" Sommadina glared at him. "How dare you talk to your father in such a disrespectful manner?"

Rafael slowly raised his face to meet hers. Sommadina swallowed hard when she saw the blood on his lips. She paused for a minute when she noticed how Randal relaxed back in his seat, watching them.

"You might be a grown man now but he's still your father." Sommadina continued. "We are still your parents and you must show us the respect that we deserve. How dare you? How dare you disrespect your parents like this all because of a woman!"

Rafael scoffed silently and then slowly turned to Randal. He was beginning to feel too comfortable again. He turned back to Sommadina.

"Of course," He told her. "Do what you always do, take his side. Support him and stand up for him when he would never do the same for you. It never gets old watching you make yourself a fool for a man that has never reciprocated your love and devotion to him."

Sommadina held her breath.

"What?" She squinted in disbelief

"You rascal!" Randy pulled himself from his chair quickly, hurrying himself to Rafael, limping as fast as he could to grab his walking stick from the side of the table, he raised it in the air, targeting Rafael's head right before Sommadina rushed to him and then held him back, hugging him as hard as she could so he didn't take another step to hurt Rafael.

Olivia pulled Rafael back.

"You ungrateful bastard!" He yelled at Rafael. "After all I've done for you, after all the sacrifices I've made for you, for this family!"

"Chief please," Sommadina said with tears in her eyes. "Don't hurt him, he's your son. Think about your health,"

"Stay away from me and Olivia." Rafael continued glaring at them. "The both of you."

He turned quickly and headed towards the door, pulling Olivia with him.

"Anuofia! Scoundrel!" Randy yelled at the top of his lungs, trying to force his way to them but Sommadina kept pushing him back. She knew exactly how rough things could get if she were to let him go. She knew she had to stop him. She knew how much bad blood there was between Rafael and Randy. They had never really seen eye to eye in the past.

"Chairman please." Sommadina went back to begging him the moment she was sure Rafael and Olivia had left the room. Randy scoffed and  pushed Sommadin away from him.

"This is all your fault!" He yelled at her. "You spoiled him, right from when he was a child. You spoiled him and made him believe his father was useless? now he does not respect me. He says what he likes to me when he likes it. You did this."

She exhaled weakly.

"Get out!" He ordered her. "Go and do what you always do. Get high on your misery with a bottle of my most expensive champagne. Get out!" He yelled at her, causing Sommadina to shake for a second.
She didn't move for a while, at least not until she watched him find his way back to his chair and sit angrily on it. He wasn't even paying her any mind or acting like she existed.

"Useless," he said under his breath. "Just useless."

Randal got up again and let out a loud groan befofe he threw his walking stick as hard as he could on the ground and it made her tremble in fear as he yelled again just as the door opened quickly and his head of security rushed in.

"Chairman!" He stared at Randy with a look of concern in his eyes. Randy jerked one of his legs and then slowly turned back to the window, taking deep breaths to calm himself as the man rushed to pick his walking stick from the ground.

Randy took another deep breath and then placed his hands above his hips, his eyes focused on the window. He exhaled.
