"Okay Felicia," Olivia slowly got down from her car, trying so hard to put pressure on her shoulder just so it could hold her phone from falling from her ear while she tried to reach for the files in the passengers seat. It was a long walk from the parking lot to her office anyway.

"I'd be up in five minutes." Olivia signaled her driver to hold on right before she shut the door. She just needed to drop those files on her table and be out before anyone noticed she was there. "Okay. Thank you Felicia."

Olivia slowly turned away from the car and then halted the moment she saw two men in black suits with expressionless faces in front of her. They looked like bodyguards. She narrowed her gaze trying to think of where she had seen them before, slowly pulling her phone from her ear.

She could feel her heart race the moment it came to her. The moment she recognized who they were. Olivia's eyes widened in fear and surprise.

"The Chairman would like a word with you."

The sound of runtown's  mad over you song from the speakers could be heard all the way to the far end of the restaurant where Rafael sat, with his eyes solemnly focused on his mother's, not minding all the dishes she had ordered even before he arrived.

Her text looked like she had something urgent to say to him and now he was there, she was barely even saying anything at all. She could barely even look into his eyes for a full minute. It was really exhausting. It made him wonder if leaving the comfort of his home to be there with her at that moment was close to worth it.

Sommadinah rose her head to his. She could see the big frown he had on his face, his small upturn eyes almost closing up from glaring at her so hard, squinting so he could see her perfectly. She could notice how the bruises on his face from the day before were almost healed. She let out an exhale.

"How are you?" She started, almost sure Rafael wasn't going to answer her. She knew he was obviously still mad from all that had happened but she also knew she couldn't give up on him. She couldn't give up on trying to get his forgiveness. "I've been trying to call you, but you've not been picking my calls so I decided to send a text instead. It looks like you also asked your security not to let me into your house?"

Rafael scoffed. He honestly didn't have the time to answer questions on his past mood. He folded his arms.

"Why did you ask me to come here mother?"

"W-What do you mean why I asked you?" Her voice was so low, compared to how she used to talk. It was almost as if she was having a hard time. Rafael knew just how much his mother hated being unable to talk to him. He knew how emotional she always got whenever he rebelled during his childhood. He didn't need to notice her composure to be sure of how affected she was by everything. How sad she was. "I've missed you. I've missed my son."

Rafael let out a tiny exhale, raising his hand to his brows. He honestly didn't have words. He wasn't interested in where that conversation was going either.

"Are you still angry with me?" She stretched her hand to his in a quick attempt to hold them. "Are you still angry that I kept all those things from you?"

Rafael scoffed.

"I only did that because I was trying to protect you from the truth. Protect you from hurting like this. If you had found out our family was responsible for all those deaths many years ago, you would have never forgiven me or your father. I know how important saving people is to you. I knew how this news would have hurt you."

"Are you sure?" He glared at her. Sommadinah held her breath. "Are you sure you were trying to protect me or him?"

Sommadinah swallowed hard.
