Prologue:

Devon Farrow's POV

Now Ella was my best friend, don’t get me wrong or anything, but she was different from the other Gryffindors. Something seemed off. She didn’t fit in exactly. And her family was a bunch of snakes… But still, she was different from the rest of us, and that year at Hogwarts we found out why.

I didn’t hear the full story start to finish until long after it finished. But that was because of my big mouth. Oh well, I still love her to death. After all this time, though, I wonder what would of happened if she didn’t find out. But I guess we’ll never find out at this point.

What? Oh, I’m unimportant, this is Ella’s story, always was, always will be. Maybe a different day we can talk about me. Now when did it start… Guess we could go back to first year… Nah that’s too long ago… I think we go over that during the middle anways. Hm… now… Oh, let’s just start with the beginning of the fifth year, we were late getting to the train that day, but we still made it before it took off…
